.material file renaming
« on: March 05, 2019, 07:42:45 am »
Hello!
I have two presets that were originally meant to go in the preset_1 slot. I already have a character with the preset currently in there, so understandably I decided to just rename the second version of preset_1.material to a different preset (preset_6.material, if it matters). It didn't work.
Upon noticing it didn't work, I tried to transfer the secondary preset_1 into the preset_1 slot and transfer out the first prest. The second one still didn't work.
Is there something wrong with my preset? How do I fix it?

Did you make sure to rename the "preset_1_BodyMatL" etc that are inside the .material?
For the sake of my own health and interests, I've left FH and I won't be looking back.

You will have to open the .material file in the notepad and replace all “_1” to “_6” in the file. As well as the name of the .material file and all photos of the preset that you have.
Basically everything that has _1 in it will have to have  _6.

If you’re trying to put another preset into preset_1 slot, you will have to remove the exported preset file of that slot in presets folder (not my_presets) and then export the new one

These files came pre-named, ie 'AWD2Body_left.png.' Should I go through and change them all?

Thank you both for responding so quickly!!

You’re going to have to rename only the text that has _1 in it, to _6 if you’re placing it in the preset_6 slot.

And no problem!

I've already done that, but it's still acting up - do you think going through and individually naming the files might help? Is it worth a try or ??

(AAA I'm still a noob after two years)

You can try that, yeah.
But make sure the text inside the .material is the same as the name of preset photos. And make sure they’re both .png or .jpg (whatever you have it set up as, it must be the same)

AAa- that didn't work either. I tried renaming them twice, as well as adding and removing the capitals. Any other ideas? Should I just suck it up and forget this preset?
