So, I've had an idea for a while, and seeing as I've recently been trying to overhaul a few of the smaller body parts....
I'm thinking of rehauling(or attempting to anyway) all character meshes entirely, including the body, head, any unnatural looking ears and tails, etc.
If I can manage to export the cat ears properly without crashing the game, I will move on to rehauling the canine's floppy ears. If that works as well, I will move on to attempting a rehaul of the entire feline body. Seeing as this will likely require edits to the skeleton, I'll use KITO's .blend file for the skeleton instead of trying to use a screwed up skeleton import from the game files.
I can't 100% guarantee I can get it to work. I know for a fact it is possible- someone else was able to show off a WIP, in-game screenshot overhaul of the feline's head to look like a housecat, and many people have made tail replacers. However, I'm not the best at working with 2.49b and I'm... not entirely sure how well the newer version exporters work and at the moment can't compare it considering 2.49b won't export anything properly either. :'D
However, if I can get the ropes of how this works properly(it's probably a lot easier than it looks like to me lmao I'm just doing some small thing wrong and screwing it up lol) then I'll attempt this. Making the meshes and all that won't be an issue, it's the exporting and getting it to not crash the game that's the problem. xD
So, this thread'll be used for showing off my attempts at rehauling everything. Whether I can make it all work ingame or not is not guaranteed, but hey, I can still show off the WIPs.
Note that any presets, markings packs, animation overhauls, and etc. will be incompatible with my fullbody remakes unless specifically stated by the creator that their creation has been made compatible or I myself make compatibility versions.
Random note: I mesh in a newer version of Blender. Sometimes I import it into 2.49b to test exporting in that version.
