Forum Discussion / looks like the age system on here needs to be fixed
« on: November 28, 2014, 06:32:12 am »
so earlier, i was messing around with the settings on my profile, and i realized that the age box didn't have any dropdowns, just boxes where i could type stuff in.

so i experimented.

and basically... well, go see for yourself on my profile.  :P

(if you can't see it; my age is currently set to -7986. yes, negative 7986. this is wonderful.)

Rheu Island

A lush island settled in the middle of absolutely nowhere.  Rivers cut through the grass in every direction, dividing the land up into multiple smaller "mini-islands". The main attraction is a large waterfall settled at the south, feeding the rivers, which in turn provide the land with nutrients to grow the soft grass, trees and flowers of this remote land. Many dens are scattered throughout, providing many areas to explore or simply just relax.

Back in 2011, I made my first public map, Rheu Island. It was a simple, small map, and it was very unpolished, and let's be honest- it was horrible. I was extremely new to mapmaking, and all I had was GIMP, my old laptop trackpad, and a lot of determination. And even though it was bad, the heightmap was bad, and it was extremely undetailed, it was mine. And I loved it.

Three years later, with more experience, time, a rekindled interest in mapmaking, and a tablet, I'm back again to try to recreate my very first map!

Map Size: 10,000
Map Height: 1000
Progress: Going slow, but good so far. Heightmap is done (texture map to come later!), with the waterfall and surrounding area done.

Hey, what's behind the waterfall?

Flowers dot the ground in between the palm trees that grow near the lake, providing soft resting spots for your young.
