Game Help / Lost all my characters? :c

Okay so, I haven't played since 2014 or so probably, it's really not much surprise that things changed and things from the past broke, but I recently remembered FeralHeart and all the nice characters I had, so I tried to login and... nobody's there. All my chars are apparently gone D:

Is there any chance to recover them?

Game Help / How can I make particles? Or at least transparent objects...

I really need to make some floating text particles, but I don't know how...
I seached the forum but I couldn't find anything helpful. :(

All I want to do is something pretty simple, completely static. Some floating text, with transparent background and glowing letters. (The part of actually glowing is not necessary if it makes the thing complicated. I can make it glowy-like in photoshop.)

Game Help / Item mesh is too tiny! How can I resize it? ><

I made a collar item, but it's too tiny ingame!
I made it over the canine body model in blender, to make sure it would fit, so the problem must be something else.
I've seen some people with the same problem (theirs was bigger, not smaller, though) saying they tried resizing it in blender with no success, so I didn't even try it.
Help me! x.x

Game Help / How can I edit the meshes on Blender? (Script won't work! ><)

Now I have Blender 2.49, installed the script and it shows on the 'Import' options, but it still won't work! o.e
When I click it and search for the file (hat1.mesh.xml), It says it's missing a MSVCR71.dll, then a tiny pop up says "Python script error: check console". The console says a bunch of stuff about parsers and "No parsers found".
What do I do now? I have downloaded Python 2.5, which was the version the Ogre Exporter said it needed.
Should I give up!? lol, no... not yet!

So, I've downloaded Blender, BlenderImport Script and OgreXMLConverter.
But the damn script doesn't seem to be installing! I did "Instal Addon...", and it doesn't show up in the import menu. Is it not compatible with Blender 2.61? If so, what do I do? I really want to make items for FH! x.x


Can I edit meshes with 3ds Max? And if so, are there any settings I need to change before/after importing? (There were some for editing The Sims 2 and ZooTycoon 2 meshes) (I'm recycling the thread...)

Edit: I give up with Milkshape lol

Game Help / How should I import meshes to 3DS Max?

So, I want to make meshes. I know how to work with 3ds Max because I have already made some meshes for ZooTycoon2.
But I want to know with which settings should I import a .mesh into the program, and with which settings to export after I finish it.

And do I need to have a special plug-in?

So, can I create a thread on FeralHeart Media to place all my creations or I need to create separate threads, one for my maps, other for presets and so on?

So you added thousands of very tiny ferns on your map, but later decided to remove them?
No, you'll not have to select and delete one by one! :D

You simply have to follow these steps:

1 - Go into C:\FeralHeart\media\terrains\YourMapName

2 - Open the file called 'YourMapNameObjects.cfg' with notepad. You'll see lots of numbers, like this:

On this example, you can see there are Oaks ([MyTrees/OakTree]) and Large Shurbs ([MyPlants/LargeShurb]).

3 - If you want to remove all Oaks, for example, you would simply erase [MyTrees/OakTree] and all the following numbers.

4 - Now you save and go ingame. None of the oaks will be there anymore! ^^

Game Help / Can I export a preset with a different username?

(I still didn't search for an answer very much, so it might be a stupid question.)

I'm trying to make some presets but I don't know how can I change their names. I made a test and it's called Shenzai_10. Can I change it to something else?

Because I'm going do make some TRON legacy based ones and they would be better with names...


So, I discovered that changing the name on the Log In box changes the name of the preset.
But would it happen anything wrong if I type ShenzaiTRON1 there then export it?
I mean, there is no user called ShenzaiTRON1. Could it cause any problem?
