Leaving / Toodles!

Hey fluffs!

I would say I didn't think I'd write here so soon - but that wouldn't be true. I wasn't really going to return after the events of the disagreement between staff in 2018 - but I wanted to leave with peace in my mind instead of anger and hurt, so I decided to come back for awhile just to offer my help where I could. I never intended to stay for long, and I feel I've done what I can now, and that I don't have the same interest for FH as I had the earlier years. Plus with life rushing along I wont be able to stay very active, and that wouldn't be fair towards the community or the fellow staffers.

I'll still be running the FH DeviantArt group for now, so if you need something you're free to contact me there or on Discord.

Again thank you for all these years, every staffer I've worked with since 2013, and every member I've ever met since 2012. And of course to all the friends I've made.

THE FERAL YEAR OF 2018

Yet another year has passed, and sometimes, it seems like time flies by so fast, doesn't it? But we've still had an eventful year indeed.
So please sit down, make yourself comfortable, and let us tell you what's been happening here on FeralHeart, in the year of 2018.


First of all I'd like to, once again, apologize for the bumps in the road that this community had to go through when there had been unfortunately serious disagreements among staff. However, personally, I can now see the good coming out of all that - the joining of a new big staff team and a fresh start over.
I want to thank all of you for sticking with us and for accepting us, who left, back - as well as welcoming the new staff members with open arms.

It's our biggest pleasure to list these names, of those who has both formed and joined in the new staff team:

Game and Forum Updates

Our staff member Calvary has provided us with a new, updated, game manual here on the forum:

A big thanks to Cal for her hard work!

Our game login page has gotten a few updates too! You’ll be able do see some news links and updates there now as well as some screenshots as you keep the page open while playing.

And then, as I doubt many have missed, we released a new patch the 3rd of November, with a new winter map; Kibou, and then our EasternPass map got a big update as well.

Once again we would like to give a special warm thank you to the users Lady_Alizarin and LaughingWolf, for helping with the creation of the maps in this patch.

FHORF
In April we held the usual FH Roleplay day, only this time we changed both the name and some other details for this day. Now it's called FHORF (FeralHeart Official RolePlay Festival), an it's a whole weekend created for just roleplaying!

Leaving / We love you!

This will be my last post, as we've tried but there wont be any solving or working together in this and now both staffers and users are taking damage from it. As from now the only staff that will remain is Razmirz himself, what he most likely wanted from the start.

In the end he does have the ultimate power over this, he IS the Server Master and what he says goes, but I'm not playing that game anymore. Not when people are actually getting hurt. Not when absolutely fantastic and hard working people like Nynx gets punished and removed from our team just because she posted the truth. Again without a word to the rest of us. Not when people have worked so hard and get this hard work called all sorts of names, bringing them to tears and completely destroying their hope.

Of course this will affect you, the community, even if Raz puts up together another staff asap, it might take some time to organize it. And it might work in a different way. We're all sorry for this, and hope you can understand why it's impossible for us to work like this. In the end it would just be us wanting to do things and not being able to, and users getting even more disappointed because they think we're not listening when we have been all this time.
There's so much more I want to say here, most likely this post will be deleted and purged but for those who got the chance to read it I want to say THANK YOU.

Leaving / Shally has left the building!

Ah yes. As always, where to start? So many things to say, so hard to get them all said.

I suppose I can start with THANK YOU, everyone, for giving me these wonderful years together with you all. It's almost impossible to explain how much I've learned, how many wonderful people I've met, and the both fun and not-so-fun things I've experienced.

But all in all it's been a great, and interesting journey! And I'm really, truly grateful.
The last two years have been my "bad-luck" years - I was seriously injured, at work in 2015, and then when I got better, physically, my dad was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer 2016. It's why I was away for so long without any word, I spent most time by his side when he was in the hospital.

He's lucky to still be alive, fighting this, but it's still hard to say how it'll go. But, as a nurse, I know that as long as there's life there's hope, and my dad has always been a fighter.
Anyway, everything in these two years has made it hard for me to be 100% involved in the FH community. It feels like I've been away more then not, and it doesn't really feel fully fair to my fellow staff members, nor the community, to stay in the staff position.

Because, even though there is many discussions about this, the staff is always at hard work - there's things to do almost everyday! I've always loved this, but now when I can't really keep up, it turns into stress for me. Please do not stare yourselves blind on the number of current staff members - these guys are amazing, hardworking people, and I really enjoyed working with them all. 

I've been a staff member since 2013, and I've loved it, and it's always hard to leave after so many years. But, I know there are alot of potential staff members out there, who will take over after me, and other retired staff! <3

Thank you to my fellow staff members - some I've worked with from the start, some a shorter time, but you're all hardworking, kind, good and genuine persons. It's truly been a honor, and I know you'll continue to take care of this community as you always have.

I'll most likely come visit now and then, and I'll still be running the Feral-Heart DeviantArt Group! c:
I'm not sure if I can say thank you too many times, but...THANK YOU. Each and everyone of you, new and old members of this community.

Introduction / Guess who's back, back again.

Indeed look at this - it has returned once again!



I wasn't going to post anything here for awhile, as I need some time to get back on my feet again, but things change! c:

For the new members ---> Hi. My name is Shally, I've been a member here since 2012, and a moderator since late 2013, and then a Global Moderator since 2014, had to leave staff at a very late 2015 since I got injured in a accident, but when I got better I returned, then this thing happens, and I had to leave once again. Yay, life!

Now, due to some very personal things, concerning a family member, I had to leave in a haste a few months ago - and no, I didn't leave a note here. At first, because the situation was so shocking and traumatic for me, I had no thought at all on getting on here. Then I wasn't sure how long this would last. At last I did note my friends, through phone, on here/staff of FH, but due to the sensitive nature of it, and the worry for me and my family, no "note" was posted about it.

I'm very touched by the worry, of me leaving and not noting the community. You all couldn't know what it was about, so yes I understand some of you might have been questioning what was going on, and why nothing was said "officially".

All through the years I've been on here, in every different FH staff team, life suddenly happens. Some have left for weeks and months and then some decide to leave, and some decide to stay - it's the same things with some members. ^-^
I love this game, and community, or I wouldn't have stayed a part of this community as long as I have, but; my family, friends, health, work, etc will always come first. While some might be very open about a emergency situation, concerning their family, I am not. I've always been that way, and I suppose it's because we all react in a different ways in such a situation. And before you've been in one, it's impossible to say how you will react.

I do apologize if this caused worry/confusion, and you all have the right to ask what's going on, but I'm also sure you can understand that some things you might just not be willing to share with everyone. c:

Anyway! I'm glad to be returning here, to meet old, and new, members once again! : D

I will stream art on here, and sometimes do multistreams with other artists!
I've been streaming a lot lately though only for friends and I think it's time to invite others too that might feel like watching.

Miscellaneous Tutorials / (OLD/Outdated) Shally's tutorial on the WEB-download for the game update:

So it seems people are having some difficulties with the WEB DOWNLOAD, so I made this little tutorial on how use this download and what you need to do to make the game install.

For information about the uTorrent download please go here


Alright so firstly, download the file here:


!!CLICK THE WEB DOWNLOAD - NOT THE TORRENT DOWNLOAD!!

You'll get forwarded to the download page, click the link as it shows on the image:



Your computer will most likely request that you confirm this download, when it does click "save":


Choose a folder to save the file to:


After the download is complete, go to the chosen folder, (where you saved the file) and right click the file icon:


Choose "Run as administrator":



Your firewall might ask you if you want to block aria2c.exe, which you do not want to block, so allow access.
Then you will most likely have this pop up:



Now don't worry, this is simply you seeding the download - this is not something that will harm your computer in any way! And you can shut it down after you've installed the game if you want to, or keep seeding for awhile to make the download quicker for your fellow players.

It might take awhile, but you should get a blinking icon down on your task bar;



- where your computer will ask if you want to run FHsetup1.15.exe ; click "Run"

And taadaa, the new FHsetup1.15.exe will start the installation of the game.
Then:
