Yukon Summer & Winter Maps WIP

Heya!! This is a map I've been working on for about 5 months now (with lots of breaks in between)
I started working on a heightmap in August before using it ingame in mid-October.
When finished, it'll have a summer and winter version!! I'm still contemplating making an autumn version v_v
This is only the 3rd map I've ever worked on LOL

The setting is supposed to be a place nestled in one of The Yukon Territory's many mountain ranges. Dense taiga/boreal forests below and rocky terrain at higher elevations where only the hardiest fauna and flora can survive.

Other info

• Size: 29,000
• Height: 3,500
• 5 terrains

Despite the size, me and some friends have done testing and they were lag-free! They also didn't receive bad tokens upon entering WEW

To give you a sense of scale what I've managed to finish so far, I counted how many spruce trees alone there are in the map (there are other trees, but spruce cover most of the map)
And the count is... 3093 trees. (I thought it'd be only 1000 before I counted LMAO)


I have too many screenshots to add to one thread, but at the bottom of this post is links to the best photos of the map's progress since the beginning!!
Both maps have the exact amount of objects except for seasonal stuff like icicles, flowers, grass, ect.

Anywho, here are my fave screenies, no order in particular and all from diff stages of the map(s)!
(The ENB mod was on for a few of them)

Oh my goodness, these are breathtaking. <3
Both of these maps look incredible so far. The time you spent on them definitely shows! I love the way you used different size variations for some of the trees to give the maps a more natural look.

Keep up the wonderful work! I can't wait to see the end results!

Your maps look stunning. <3 You've really done quite a nice job at capturing the seasons in each environment; those hills look very natural. I feel like I would personally love to visit both locations on a hike. I can tell that a lot of love and care was put into the creation of these maps.
