MAP HELP
« on: August 04, 2012, 06:49:20 pm »
http://fav.me/d59k4n4 This is the map I am working on. It works perfectly for me but when others download it and install it, it makes their game crash. How do I fix it so it won't crash for others? Particularly what all files should I have to upload and exactly where would they all have to go? Multiple people had it crash for them so I don't think the problem is with them. I would appreciate the help a lot.

When uploading maps;

Include the FHM. file, the FHO files associated with your map (After you've exported it) and any sky or weather files that were exported along with it (assuming you have custom sky or weather). Also any music, custom terrains etc, once you've learned to do all of this. Basically anything the Map Maker says its exporting into your Exports folder, is what you need to grab

In most cases of maps causing users to crash, in large mounds, it will be the weather file and how it was made in the sky maker. Suggest to them to remove this and see if the map works without it.

Okay the weather thing might be the problem. I'll see if that fixes it. Thanks!
