As cheesy as it sounds, practice and poke at a few references if needed. Personally, I'm not satisfied with my humans. It's a never ending process. (Trust me, the art I made three/two years ago was AWFUL.)
Remember though, YOU created that piece of work from a blank canvas. YOU made something original, no one else did. And it was all YOU. That's beautiful in my book.
