I'm going to sneak into the party late~ It just seems like a really cool thread.
What's your name?
Cassani Alanis... Most refer to me as Cass... *Hesitantly, she looks sideways, unsure.* O-or Nani, for those that know me well.
Do you know why you were named that?
There's no particular reason. *In an uncharacteristic maneuver, her voice takes on a sharper edge; it borders on resentment, though not quite.* The Huntresses decided upon it. Alanis refers to the mountains I used to belong to. I used to be a nymph of the Alanis mountain range before.
Are you a boy or a girl?
*Slightly confused, Cass waves her hand in front of your face, checking to see if your vision is ok.* Uh... Girl. I am a nymph. There are no male nymphs, those are called satyrs.
Are you single or taken?
*Her expression darkens and her eyes flick away coldly. Subconsciously Cass crosses her arms and pulls her shoulders back.* Single; I've learned my lesson.
Have any abilities or powers?
*Shaking her head, she relaxes, glad the next question is easier to answer.* No-- I don't age and cannot become ill. But that's all part of being a nymph.
Stop being a mary-sue
Who? *She looks confused again.* My name is Cassani? I'm a nymph, not a Mary-Sue...
Uh...if you were to get in a fight with a strong wrestler, do you think you'd win?
*Shifting on her feet, Cass looks off to the side in thought.* I guess it all depends. Without weapons? I'm strong, but it's not likely. With weapons, and maybe the use of my surroundings, it seems reasonable that I would.
Riiiight... Have any family members?
*Cass shakes her head, a bit sourly.* None that I consider family either.
Oh? How about pets?
No.
Cool, I guess. Tell me something that you don't like.
*She tilts her head, her mouth twisting into a smile. A sound similar to a laugh escapes her.* Besides from Artemis, the Huntresses, and the Greek Gods? Being surrounded, it scares me. Oh, and ghosts. *Cass shakes her head.* You can't fight ghosts like a normal monster.
Something that you do like?
*Clasping her hands together, Cass nods excitably, almost like a child.* The hunt, that feeling of conquering a challenge, and knowing the land like nobody else.
Do you have any activities/hobbies that you like to do?
Hunting! And adventuring... I spend most of my time doing that.
Have you ever hurt anyone in anyway before?
*Cass's excitement fades slightly; insecurity aligns her surprised eyes. The quick transition from what makes her happy to the uncomfortable seems to be making her weary.* Yes. But, I hadn't meant to! *Her usually low voice takes a higher tone, traces of uncertainty apparent.*
Ever...killed anyone before?
*Slightly closing off, Cass seems to be overthinking things.* I have.
What kind of animal are you?
Nymph... Not really an animal, more of a spirit. *Suspicious and wary of the questions now, her eyes shift sideways and she answers rather impersonally.*
Name your worst habits.
*Looking up, Cass tilts her head.* Talking to myself. I'm usually alone... *Insecure, she tries to come up with an excuse.* And I don't mind that! I just don't like feeling lonely.
Do you look up to anyone at all?
Not anymore. *Her answer is short, signaling the next question.*
Gay, straight, or bi?
Pan.
Do you go to school?
School? Like the mortals? *She looks confused.* I've never been. I am literate though. *Hurrying the last part, Cass seems to care genuinely what you think. It's endearing, in a sad, pathetic sort of way.*
Ever wanna marry and have kids one day?
You haven't been paying attention, have you? *Inquisitively, Cass's gaze searches your face. Then, remembering herself, she tries to recover.* I mean, no.
Do you have any fangirls/fanboys?
Fans? It's not likely, considering that I usually just help mortals with any creatures that are threatening them.
What are you most afraid of? I promise I won't laugh.
*Her eyebrows crease; she obviously doesn't believe you.* I'm claustrophobic.
*snicker* Ok, ok. What color is your hair?
*Rolling her eyes, she offers a small smile before answering.* Dark brown.
Eyes?
Dull-ish. They're a dark blue, they sometimes resemble a slate grey.
What do you usually wear? Nothing perverted.
*Automatically, she answers.* Light gear. I like to be able to move quickly when in combat.
Ok. What's your religion?
... *Not knowing how to answer, she absentmindedly traces the tattoos on her wrist.* I don't believe anymore.
Do you wish this quiz is over?
Is it? *Looking up, Cass begins to reach for her bag.*
Well, it's still not over.
*Frowning, her arm retreats to her side.*
Anyways, where do you live?
I'm nomadic. Though I consider Alanis to be my home.
What class are you? (Low class, middle class, high class)
Class? *No longer does she give you any confused looks; she seems to be getting used to the strange questions.* I'm no mortal, and I do not participate in civilization.
How many friends do you have?
*Flatly, Cass answers.* None. Unless you could count the mountains as my friend? *A look of hope crosses her features, and she looks up with wide eyes, set off by a small smile.*
Wow. If you could change anything
what would it be?
*Opening her mouth to respond, Cass closes it again. Her expression becomes distant, as if she's been mulling this question over in her head for a long time now. After a few seconds, Cass looks up.* I don't have an answer to that.
If you had a million dollars, what would you do with it? And I don't want no cheap answer, ya hear?
*Curiously Cass tilts her head.* A million dollars? Is that some type of food or currency?
What is your thoughts on pie?
Pie? It's alright I guess. *Thinking about it, Cass looks far away again. Maybe recalling a memory, from the slight twitch of her lips.* I remember trying some during my time with the Huntresses.
Alright. What's your favorite food?
*Looking away coyly, Cass answers quietly, as if afraid of judgement.* Pineapple with salt.
Favorite drink?
The blood of my enemies. *Cass looks dead serious, until she starts laughing. Now that the questions are less charged, Cass seems less shy and insecure.* Only joking...
What is your favorite place?
*Answering quickly, Cass seems sure of it.* Alanis Mountains.
Least favorite?
Mount Olympus.
Are you still wanting the quiz to end?
Bye, I hope never to see you again. *Gratefully, Cass takes this as her chance. Grabbing her backpack she hurries off into the forest surrounding their chosen interview area, an ancient ruin.*
Yeah. Well, it's over.
*Cass's already left.*
