I tend to agree. Although I can also see how elaborating on another users post may seem rude. Not everyone would think of it that way but I can see how someone may see it as, of example:
"Yeah... what so-and-so said. they just forgot to mention this that and the other thing. *hairflip*" Even though that isn't the intended purpose, It could appear that way to people.
I can actually see what you're saying here, and some people do come off that way.
When I add on to someone, I say
"Adding on to what was said,"
or
"If what User 1 suggested does not work, you can always try..."
So I try to avoid that, but I know it does happen where some people come off as if they are so all-knowing. xD

"As User 1 said, do that."
Or
(Already suggested)
"Go to(already suggested method) and reset it."

It's quite annoying due to the fact the first user had put dedication to make their post only to loose credit to the second poster. So yeah......
