I'm not big on the forums and have said much here at all...
But I've been on FH for, let's see now, seven years I think? Or been aware of it anyway.

And after the weird 'log in on page to play' and updates I started seeing some problems...
I can't find roleplay on the actual maps anymore. It's all big groups or nothing, and most of them just wanna be on discord anyway, which I'm not interested in. I've faded away like many more because I wasn't interested in Discord and all the like.

Whatever the case is, or whatever the problem is, there definitely seems to be a problem in my eyes. More people could help, maybe. More young crazy wild ones who can't even get into big groups, even. People grow old and get lives, if for no other cause the population of the game would surely decrease because of this; People will move on... I don't know for sure, we'd have to try it and see to know for sure. Maybe they should open registration for a year and see what happens, and if our situation worsens, close it up again? But I'm not up to date on any of this, I'm practically never here on the forums at all.
A friend told me of the state of registration and the like and the poll, and I came to gave a vote in hopes that a change will be made.

Even if supposedly it might cause server issues, was open registration not how it worked in the past? If such is the case, why is registration closed, if in the past everything seemed fine? Unless they are complaining about say, Fluorite Plain's 'Bad Tokens' and Bonfire's lag.  Sure, that was unpleasant. But was it more unpleasant than our current situation?

I guess I'm just saying, I think a change would be nice. And partially open registration doesn't seem like it would make that much of a difference, as it appears to already be open off and on.

I just now read the moderator above me. It seems to be a technical issue... Tragic.

Game Help / Assistance requested; FH is crashing and won't start...
« on: December 18, 2014, 01:01:01 am »
Not working at all. I don't even get to the title or anything before it crashes.

It started, seemingly, after I downloaded that old/antique bed mesh... So I took all of that stuff out, but it didn't help.

It seems to be something with the files, because I recall, when it started acting up, I actually had an instance of the game already up, and I was opening another to work on a map/see the new bed mesh while I did something else in my other 'tab.'   But it wouldn't start...  The already-up, not-edited-in-the-files version was just fine, but it didn't want to open anew.    Eventually, I exited the already-up instance, but that only made things worse, because it still won't start and now I can't get it on at all.

I've looked over my files and stuff, tried things I've seen suggested (Such as switching the rendering system/subsystem or whatever it is.) but none seem to be working.   I don't think it's anything temporary,  considering how it worked in the already-up instance as before... I think it's something in the files, and I can't tell what.   Last time I came here for help, I was only told what I already knew and given no further advice or suggestion, so I'm fearing it will be the same again...     Perhaps even giving an example of what the Fh files SHOULD look like will be enough for me to spot what's wrong?

Characters / Topsy-Turvy
« on: May 17, 2014, 02:49:10 am »
   .: General Information :.

.: Name: Topsy-Turvy (I don't know her true name, I apologize. )
.: Nick-Names: Topsy, Turvy.
.: Gender: Female
.: Species/Race: A thylacine 'furry.'
.: Age: 14, almost 15.
.: Accent: Australian/Aussie

    .: Appearance :.

.: Eye-color: Bright green/Neon green/Poison green
.: Hair: Frizzy, curly, 'crazy.' Dyed orange with red fringing the tips.
.: Description: Wears a day-blue T-shirt and 'flare' jeans, along with from indigo finger-less gloves that reach to her elbows. Hates wearing shoes, but when she must, Topsy wears sandals.
.: Weapons?: Surprisingly, for her age, she does have a sort of weapon; Topsy-Turvy is trained with a boomerang, and owns on as well, with a bladed edge.
.: Picture: (Please forgive my imperfect drawing skill.)

     .: Personality :.
Topsy-Turvy is, as her nickname likely defines, 'topsy-turvy.' She is socially awkward, and doesn't seem to know what the definition of 'normal' is, figuratively speaking. She is odd beyond all measurements of oddity, it seems. The girl is extremely tom-boyish and loathes all things pink and 'girly.' She loves to be unique, and strives for it, thus why she dyed her hair. She is cocky and sometimes violent, loving to wrestle and 'rough-house.'  She has a strong and passionate love and admiration for animals, specifically Australian animals. Her favorite animal is the crocodile, though she's particularly fond of all manners of reptiles. Her attention span is short, and she can't stop fidgeting, tapping either finger or toe. She loves didgeridoo music, and it may encourage her to dance; she has had training in belly-dancing, but is unlikely to do so in front of anyone accept on special occasions, because belly-dancing costumes are a bit immodest. She is friendly, and an awfully bit talkative, but creative and artistic. Topsy can get very stubborn at times, and the more you pressure her to do something, the more she refuses to do it. She is very loyal to companions, though, and will never betray them. She probably needs to listen more than she talks, and she can be very immature at times, but she has a sweet and forgiving character. She is quite curious, and often mischievous, but tends to 'leap before she thinks,' and possibly other traits of thoughtlessness.

   .: Past :.

She lived on a farm in the suburbs of Australia, and cuddled chickens. Nothing special. ...ACCEPT WHEN THE ALIENS CAME. Ok, kidding, there were no aliens.

  .: Relationship :.

.: Admires: No masculine
.: Bound to: No Masculine
.: Befriended: Gordon?

Murr, I just now found Red's reply. Well, apparently, I need to figure out how to open the Tools Options Dialog box, which strangely enough, has not been there for as long as I can remember. But, I've never been very familiar with GIMP, so that may have something to do with it. I'll start poking around to see what I can get to work...

It was in fact named appropriately with the map, and I mad sure to keep it gray-scale, and it is 513x513. It  complicated in the way that it has many small details. I do not know what the 'Alpha channel' is, and I have not heard of it, or seen it in any tutorials...  Nor do I know what you mean by 'keep it at one layer.' Forgive me if I seem naive, or annoyingly uneducated... I tend to be confused with computers easily. But, thank you for the reply, even if I could not make much sense of it.

Site/Forum Help / Help requested with a map height terrain

A designed what I might call a rather complicated map terrain, exported to FeralHeart/Media/Terrains, ect. For all I know, I haven't done a thing incorrectly, yet FH crashes when I type the terrain's name in the 'Terrain height map' bar in the Map maker. It may be my computer simply acting up, but if there might be another problem, what could it be? If another problem is suggested, I shall seek to fix it, but if a solution is mentioned with it... That is obviously the preferred option.

Generations of feral life, natural selection, and killing and cannibalizing their weakest chicks has made them strong. Their a thriving, invasive species. The entire population is crammed into one flock.  Semi-realistic, personalized chickens mean't to role play with warrior cats, if they'll let us. As the numbers grow, so does their prey. They are already acting as prey to lure in foxes... Large, bigger than cats, most descendants of the breed New Jersey Giant, biggest breed of chicken. All follow one lead hen, Zanari. They would rather die than disobey her, because the punishment is worse than death. Ruthless traditions and codes of cannibalizing, and a tyrant that will cross lines the soft-hearted leaders couldn't bare. Their leader rules with razors on her claws, which she got from an escaped fight cock. Yes, in cockfights, they put razors on their claws. Only the strong survive in the Zarich flock.

We probably won;t get many members, seeing very few want to join a chicken flock... So, I'm hoping the explanation will help encourage people to join.  Literate, mappless, semi-realistic. My first time posting a group on here, hope I didn't make any mistakes...
