Map Mask Making Help Needed

Ok, so I followed all the tutorials on how to make a mask for my new map. When I finished and exported it to terrain<my map file and went to see how it looked it went wacky. There is a long dark spot where it looks as if a shadow was cast across my map and the other texture was merged with the last. It did not follow the pattern I had made. Can someone please tell me what I did wrong so I can fix it? I went through the maps that come with fh and it looks exactly like mine.

You did nothing wrong, Rose. ^^ The black texture is just the 'clearance' of the map. You need to choose what three textures you want on your map. Like so:

Ah, thank you. Sorry for the late reply. It ended up being the mask itself that had the issue. It didn't like that I put a space in the name so it derped on me. x3
