Finished Maps / Hidden Creek - Public

Game Help / Removing Leaves From Acacias

Hello! Just a minor question, as I've forgotten how to do this. I was trying to figure out if there is a way to remove the leaves from the acacia tree mesh so I can make a dead tree out of it in the game. Anyone know how to do this?

I know a lot of us enjoy the Aug 22nd markings pack, but I've discovered a problem with it. I'm not asking for help, so much as trying to bring it to everyone's attention, so I'm hoping this is being posted in the correct section. If not, I apologize in advance. Also, if there is a fix for this, knowing how to do so would be wonderful.

I've noticed that Feral Heart has a markings limit, probably somewhere in the code (or at least this is my guess). Once you reach that limit, the game will repeat all the markings from the top of the list to that limit, over and over. As far as I can tell, there is no fix for this.

I've made a warning video here to hopefully better explain what's going on.

Hey peoples! Got a little dilemma. I got a new tablet and I'd like to start making markings again. I've made one new pattern so far, but I can't seem to think of anything else.

If you have suggestions and ideas, please post them here! ^_^ My only requirements are as follows:

Nothing from Pokemon
No symbols from other games/shows/etc
Nothing with text
Nothing that's already been done/redone in other markings packs

I'd love to hear your ideas and see if I could put them in-game. :3 You'll naturally get credit for the idea if I make it.

Chrono Cross
For my fellow adult players of FH who yearn for nostalgia (and the younger ones who just want to try something new), this music mod brings to you the beauty of the Chrono Cross soundtrack. Most of the tracks are split evenly, with seven tracks shared by both the Plains and Caves, and the only tracks not included are the really short ones and those which had lyrics (two exceptions being the Magic Troupe and the song Nikki plays at Marbule).

DOWNLOAD HERE

INSTALLATION
1. Download & unzip the above file - Be warned, it's big!
2. Select all those MP3's and move them to C > FearHeart > media > music
3. Select the music.cfg from the download and move it to C > FeralHeart, tell it "yes" when it asks if you want to replace your file
4. Enjoy~

ADVANCED INSTALLATION
For those who already have music mods
1. Download & unzip the file above - Be warned, it's big!

3. Open the music.cfg from the download, then copy & paste the text accordingly into your existing music.cfg, then save it

All Default Markings On Both Avatars
Ever wonder what the canine markings would look like on the feline model? Or vice versa? Now you can find out!

~~ Even though all these markings are the ones that came with the game, other people who have not done this will be unable to see it. They will see whatever areas you have marked as solid white.

~~ It is possible to do this same trick with the head and tail markings for the body, and vice-versa. However, it probably won't look very good, so do so at your own risk.

~~ Anyone who has other markings will only see the markings they have saved on their computer. So if you want your markings to match up with a friend's, the two of you should coordinate your markings.cfg files.

~~ If you use a huge markings pack, once it reaches a certain number of markings, Feral Heart will ignore what is actually installed and re-use the default markings! Please be aware of this when adding anything to your in-game markings collection.

INSTALLATION
1. Go to C > Fearlheart and open up markings.cfg with Notepad.
You'll see things like [Fbody] and a list of the markings (such as Cheetah;fmarkCheetahBody.png)
2. Starting with [Fbody], find the markings that are just for the feline models, and copy those codes.
3. Scroll down to [Cbody], and paste them at the bottom of the list.
4. Repeat this with the head and tail markings.
5. Enjoy full range of all of Feral Heart's default markings on both avatars!

Game Suggestions & Ideas / My Thoughts On Hunting

I remember reading at some point that prey was coming to FH, and now that Last Cave has been released, I'm positive that I know at least one huge thing that's going to make an appearance. XD

However, I would like to see, if possible, some coding that allows us to actually stalk prey instead of just auto-chase it. I'd love to see some sort of strategic element to it. Granted, I know you can only do so much in this sort of game, but to me, the old IT forumla of click to auto-chase and auto-hit got to be dull fast. Something where you actually have a chance to use the crouch to sneak would be amazing. :3

Game Help / One-way Preset

Okay, so I have this preset I made and exported. I sent my friend the link to it. She installed it in her presets folder (yes, "presets", not "my presets"). She still can't see it. I would appreciate some help here, and I am not the only one with this problem. One of my other friends is having a similar issue with someone else's preset.

Game Help / Friends List Glitch

So, I've only had this happen to one friend on my entire friends list. And it's always the same one. Her name vanishes. Which means I can't whisper her, and I don't see her dot on the mini-map, even when she is standing directly in front of me.

I have tried re-logging.
I have tried completely closing FH and reopening it.
We have both tried re-friending each other.
She is not on my block list.
I am not on her block list.
We've had this glitch even prior to full re-installs.

Help would be very much appreciated, it's driving me nuts.
