Game Discussion / FeralHeart and Blender (UPDATE - 11-20-20)

Since I've recently come back to FeralHeart, I've got inspiration to restart the comic based on the 4th book of my series. I was able to find an easier and faster way to get the FeralHeart models into a more recent version of Blender, so working around and fussing through 2.49b is no longer an entirely necessary thing. On that topic...does anyone out there still model for FeralHeart? I was going to release a basic tutorial on how to get the FeralHeart models into Blender 2.66 and upwards to 2.82, but wondered if I should bother? How many of you would benefit or be interested in modelling for FeralHeart.

Update - For those of you who really want a Tutorial, it's currently in progress! I'm on a learning curve myself and so far, have taken several leaps and bounds. I have a blog going about my progress and the project I am working on, called 'Passage of Time'. For those of you who are interested in tagging along for the journey, here's my Blog!

Update - It's been a long time. My laptop crapped out on me several months ago. After a couple months of complete lack of computer use, I took it apart and reset the BIOS. It seemed to start up fine after being dusted out a bit and tested. However, I put a halt on all regular activities in favor of getting the parts for my Custom PC Build. Tomorrow, my final part comes in, and I can begin getting set up. You will see the most of me on my DeviantART page, so keep an eye on that.

For reasons, I am curious as to what version of Feralheart you like(d) the most.
I joined Feralheart back in 2011 and it was when Feralheart+ had just begun to rise. I have been and always will be a Feralheart+ fan. TLK4EVR did good with that expansion. The maps were gorgeous, expansive and detailed. I wasn't a fan of the original FH for a while. But then I spent some time there, and years of memories were made. Both FH+ and the original Feralheart Maps will always be my favorites. My heart, my memories, were made there. Especially the music.
I am not dissing the new maps! They are gorgeous and full of detail as well! I have my preferences and opinions though. Just call me old fashioned. This far into life and Feralheart is where my rough teen years took place. Believe it or not, it's where I met my Husband (8 years ago now) and is now the reason why I live in Florida.
I'm very interested to hear your feedback, as I have a bit of surprise if it turns out I'm not the only person who misses the sprawling grass of Endless Plains, the lag inducing Ascension Island (it was the parkour challenge before parkour was cool), or (yes), the L-Island. If you remember L-Island, your awesome.

This is just a random question that I thought of while sorting through my screenshots. The numbers after "screenshot"...it looks like the current date, like "11242012_070150142". I know that before the _, it's the date...but do the numbers afterward mean anything?

Could someone please explain to me, in detail, how to make my own custom weather, such as Bloodrain? I have attempted it many times, and the most I have accomplished is it raining grey boxes, which is driving me absolutly insane....someone..please? Help?

The sound effects will be edited and played with, might even add some bird sounds in there to make it sound more realistic, however, this is just a preview and a way to get ideas and comments on my work.

Now, this started happening yesterday, and a few other players have this problem as well...it seems that when we play, the whole game does this really aggravating stop, freeze, go thing, like it's streaming or something.

I've heard some terrible things about what's happening to FeralHeart. I've heard that people are loosing interest in the game and it's going to be shut down! We can't let that happen! Even if there isn't prey and items, it will still always be a wonderful way to expand the imagination and be able to play our characters, develop their personalities, make maps the easy way, and so many other things! Even if people are loosing interest, we can't just let it fail! It really terrifies me that one day, FeralHeart will vanish, and I, and others will never be able to make maps, comics, friends, and expand our characters....please....no matter what happens....don't let it go away....

Have you seen the new Proboards? It's so epic and smooth, what would the FeralHeart Forums look like on Proboards? And they are free. I just thought of this while making my own Forum and browsing, the new Layout is a boss.
