If I'm being honest, they really intimidate me! I tried to join one that had a site, a discord server, private map etc. and ended up quitting without even attempting to roleplay. They were a really friendly bunch and I'm sure we would've gotten along great, but I got extremely overwhelmed!

I love and appreciate all the effort that goes into organizing a group like that, but they're definitely not for everyone.

I've always had way more feline characters than canine. I guess I like the model better?

Introduction / Re: Returning to FH after a year and a half!!

Welcome back to the game, Nephrite! You sound like a really cool person, and I have to say your Halloween map looks amazing so far! I'm really looking forward to exploring it.

Hope you enjoy your time on here again!

I have to say this thread describes my thoughts pretty well.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying the new maps are bad (I mean think about it, it's amazing how the staff were even able to roll out this update at all considering the fact that there's no access to the source code; it's something to be applauded), but removing the old maps entirely might not have been the best idea. When you have a game that's as old as FH, all the locations in it start to develop a sort of culture behind them, and taking that away can sometimes lead to confusion, or frustration. This might partially be at fault for the number of players trickling down, in my opinion, as well as the reason why most players camp out in The Grounds nowadays. There's no real sense of structure anymore so people just congregate in the first map the game drops them into.

I hope this isn't taken the wrong way, I really appreciate all the work the staff has and continues to put into this game and I have no doubt we'll continue to improve both as a game and as a community.

aaa I'm happy you guys like the bio!

@morqque agreed! There are few things that could come close to it tbh. SBR and Battle Tendency are probably my 2nd and 3rd picks, tho I think all parts are great in their own way. Good luck on your Japanese! I know I'm gonna need a ton of luck if I wanna get anywhere near basic fluency

@Ame88 MGS as a franchise has such a unique charm to it, sometimes I think of them more as movies than games. One thing's for sure, they're art. And if I had to listen to one artist for the rest of my life, I'd probably pick Bowie. I'm really glad to be participating in the community again!

@Valar.Morghulis they really are great, aren't they? They make my characters looks so much more like, polished and realistic. I was worried my bio looked too simple but I'm glad you like it!

@Flurr that's the first time someone's told me they love one of my chars :0 I feel so proud. Thank you!

I might consider using this thread as a journal too eventually, wouldn't want to clutter up the board too much
