(sorry i was trying to wait but,....)
Xander just grabbed three twenties out of his pocket and laid it on the bare counter. His nose twitched as he felt another presence in the room. He turned and glanced around the store, but nothing was there. He looked puzzled as he turned back toward the lady "Thank you" he said wearily.
Derek glanced at Xander and then picked up the top three book. He held them close to his chest, sure not to drop any pf them.
Xander smiled once more at the lady, just to be a gentleman. He grabbed the last two books and made his way out the store. Upon leaving his gaze turned to a rack of books on the side. "Vampire..."He mumbled under his breath as he stared at the cover of the book. He remember what exactly Derek had read about them, this made his interested. If werewolves were real then couldn't other supernatural be real. He sighed, this was way to much for him so he just continued out the store.
Derek was pushing his books in the middle of the backseat when Xander walked up.
"You guys took a while in there" Joan stated suspiciously.
Xander smiled and got in on the other side of the car, he gingerly sat the books on his lap and started flipping through the top one. He glanced at the store one more time as Derek stumbled into the car.

(Alright, awesome lol ill post an application shortly.)

Name: Lance Skauron

Gender: Male

Species: Sentinel - A rare race of gargoyles that was nearly exterminated 500 years ago. They have high magical properties, intelligence, and abilities to turn themselves and others to stone statues. Most modern day beings think that the Sentinels never existed and are just ancient folklore. Many other clans of supernatural races feel a hatred for the creatures from past relations when the Sentinels reigned highly superior to others.

Description: He has hazy teal green eyes with short blonde hair with half of his bangs curtaining his right eye. He has a very frail, slender figure lacking much muscle, making him very vulnerable and easily bruised as a human. His attire consists of a light, standard servant's uniform since he works for a royal family in a large mansion through the outskirts of the city. (Picture on the left is him as a human. The right is his actual form.)

Personality: He has an unusual personality, being the silent, innocent looking, and a gentleman at the same time. His vocabulary generally confuses others when he does speak. Oddly enough, he smiles a lot and expresses his child like personality sometimes. When he is angered, it's a different story, but he has a lot of patience. Many find that he is very possessive and remains extremely loyal to anyone he has a connection to.

Family: He has no remaining family that he is aware of. Lance's memories from birth and as a child were lost many years ago during the time of the extermination of his kin.

Age: Approximately 17, although he has been trapped as a statue for hundreds of years.

Past: (It explains many things about his character. You can just skim through it for basic details.) Before the extermination of the Sentinels, he hid near the top of a Gothic tower, trapped as a statue for centuries. During this time, he gradually began to lose his memory of anything he knew about himself. It wasn't until long after a man by the name of Eric Audric discovered him and found a way to free him from his imprisonment. At the moment Lance was free, he turned to the man gratefully and insisted that he owed the man and would become a servant. Hesitantly, he agreed.
When they returned to his manor, Lance almost immediately was acquainted to the man's seven year old son, Mason Audric. The two were practically the same age and quickly created a brotherly bond. Amazingly, the two did nearly everything parallel. Eating, schooling, sleeping, even playing practical pranks on the other servants and maids. The two seemed inseparable, until about ten years later.
The two have slowly been drifting part since the last year. Mason has been upset and concerned with his father's recent death. He was murdered several weeks ago, merciless strangled with multiple piercing and lashings from a dagger. The son blamed Lance for his murder, claiming he wasn't keeping a watchful eye on his master and that he was supposed to protect him. The Sentinel did not argue with Mason and in fact believed he was right, feeling pangs of remorse and regret when he has alone time to think.

Aveline bowed her head respectfully to see that the two male college students left her store with an adequate amount of books for their "lycan project." Unfortunately, several signals such as the social and the good looking male twitching his nose and scouting around the area did cause her to suspect far more than she should have but then again, her last customer was a lizard that tried to eat her. The ears of the twitch caught any notable detail that her customers did say or hear as Nana, her shadow servant, was also her second pair of ears and eyes, and a sort of coy smile formed onto her face as she turned over to the grandfather clock in which Nana hid. "The lycans are terrible at hiding, no?"

Aveline directed her eyes towards the window to find that the supposed lycan and his friend was entering a car but several moments later, the lycan was looking into the window. She waved shyly out from the window while Nana began to morph beside her but this was surely a way of showing that he wasn't the only supernatural around. The witch turned her attention back towards the forming shadow as she sighed with her hands on her hips, "The light burns you yet you come around.." "But the mistress needed a good introduction~" Nana responded with a shadowy figure present beside her as Aveline snapped her fingers with the lights dimming and the curtains pulling themselves against the window that way Nana wouldn't "burn" out.

Xander saw the women wave and the curtains pulled quickly. He caught a quick glance of a black shadowy figure, but he brushed it off. He turned to his mother "can you drop us at the house, so we can start working?" He asked while his finger circled around the dark lining.
Joan glanced in the rear view window "I guess" she said wearily "but, I still have to run to the store so I'll have to come back out" she said while turning down, what looked like a back road.
 "That's fine" Xander stated quick.
 ---------
They soon reached the house and Derek pulled the books onto his lap.
Xander got out easily and shut the door with his foot.
Derek followed trying to be as graceful as possible, but the books were causing a problem. As soon as Joan pulled out Derek threw the book on top of Xanders pile "thank goodness for your werewolf strength" he chuckled as he pushed the door open.
