Large avatar?

Alright, alright.  This is probably a silly question. 

But my avatar on the forums seems to be ... rather large?  In actuality it's a 50x50 image and it displays just fine in the upper right-hand corner.  But on the forums it appears to be much larger than 50x50.

To clarify, at first I tried uploading the image directly from my computer.  When that didn't work I uploaded it from the link obtained from tinypic and all seemed well!  Aside from the image being larger on the forums haha.  ; v ;

You can use gimp to scale the image down. But i dont think the image is that big.

Right, I was thinking that I could scale it down somehow.

I mean, it's not a HUGE issue. 
Huge haha get it?  Get it?  Because we're talking about the icon's size?

I was just a tad bit confused, I suppose?  I MEAN I think it's a cute icon in it's original 50x50 form and in this large-scaled form.  I just wanted to be sure that I didn't somehow mess things up because I have a nasty habit of ... unintentionally botching things up haha.  U v U;;

I would just leave it unless a mod or something asks you to scale it down.

Right, right.  Looking around it seems like the size it's become is around the same -- if not the same -- size of some other avatars I've seen?  So I'm hoping that all should be well ...

I could be automatically expanding in size because the image is 50x50 and the space has to be filled up 100x100? I'll have to look into that x3

Avatars on the forums can only go up to 150x150 (Prefer size is 100x100) but if you upload your picture to a different photo sharing website and get the direct link to it, it might make it smaller.

I would just leave it unless a mod or something asks you to scale it down.

The staff won't get made if you have a big icon. Cause the forums can only allow a icon to be so big. The avatar section does have a size limit as well just like the signatures.
