Avatar cannot be saved? [Fixed please lock]

So whenever I try to upload a certain avatar I get this (note that it is when I upload from files):



Is the avatar too large, or how it is saved? (.jpg, .png, etc.) I don't quite understand this; I would be more than happy if someone explained this to me.

Either you are uploading a corrupt file, or your file itself is way to big. Also when you are uploading straight from your computer, gif avatars don't work. Gifs only work when you upload them on photobucket or something like that and get the Direct coding on the side. Try uploading your file there and using the Direct code method. Also, here check out the thread tutorial on Signatures and Avatars and how to properly set one up

It means the selected file exceeds the size limits.c: Try resizing it in paint or ps or gimp.c: Good luck. and try that Fearehs link.
If either don't work it might be your internet is to slow to upload files. Once again. Good luck!!
