In-Game Roleplay & Group Advertisement / Scientific Notation V2
« on: August 14, 2019, 04:48:06 am »
Hello! the name of this group is Scientific Notation, Version 2! (V2 because v1 became inactive after a month).

What is SN?
Scientific Notation is about a small town that houses many scientists, most of them graduating from Bioink University, a leading scientific research company. these scientist (not being very well experienced) would create...creatures.. (the experiments). Unsure of what to do with them, they stored their inventions in the jailhouse, only to be purchased and used as slaves. some experiments are:

laborers: Usually the bigger ones who can lift heavy objects and can tolerate lots of physical and mental strain.
Lessons The ones that seem the most unique or interesting, they are used for learning purposes, usually they are adopted by professors.
Maids/Butlers Average creatures that do their best in an average environment, usually running errands for their owner.
Pets: Sometimes, if an experiment is lucky, it will be adopted as a pet. Usually the ones like this are the ones that are more feral and beast-like.

And the you have the scientists:

The professor: Teaches the younger aspiring scientist about normal science things or about the creature they've created.
Jail-keepers: Not exactly a scientist, but important none-the-less. They monitor the jail, make sure nothing gets outta line.
Caretakers: Care's for the creatures. knows their diet and temperament, suitable for the patient and kind-of-heart.
Scientists: Just average scientists. studies and records data about normal science-things.

We are still re-building from our last downfall, and we need all the members we can get! it wouldnt hurt to maybe see a few familiar faces too? if any old members from V1 are still out there.

Our new discord is complete, and holds much more detailed info. there is a visitors role so you dont need to join to see it. you can also join and talk in the visitors chat if you just want to hang out as well! https://discord.gg/XzETsmq

Thank you for stopping by! (and sorry if this post isnt supposed to be here, i dont post to the forums often)

Game Suggestions & Ideas / Different eyes?
« on: August 02, 2019, 07:25:08 am »
ive always thought that different eye options would be cool. not like new eye shapes and what not, but like, you could have normal left eye and slit right eye. or on the colors tab you could have one blue eye and one brown eye so you dont have to have a preset to have different color eyes

Game Help / Random question...
« on: May 05, 2019, 07:17:19 am »
First off, I'm sorry if this is in the wrong place. it's not really a help question, Just curious (but if om wrong I'll delete & repost this to the correct spot)

But while scrolling through the items I have on fh, I saw "Totally tails, Coon tail: Black". so I thought maybe I could retexture it for my malamute character! I've seen it done a couple of times before.

So, I found this https://feral-heart.com/smf/index.php?topic=30544.0

I'm not commenting my question on that post since it's old and I don't want to necro-post.. but I was wondering, If I retexture an item, will others be able to see it? or will they have to download my item.cfg and the new textures to be able to see it properly?

to my knowledge you'd have to take the models from blender to convert them into SFM models either via Blender itself or something like Python.

ah, I see...do you happen to know of any tutorials I may follow?

Game Help / Feralheart models into SFM (source Filmmaker)?
« on: April 17, 2019, 12:00:25 am »
Hello!

First, I want to start off that (while not new to fh) this is my first time posting on the forums, so pardon me if this is in the wrong place ^^

Second, I was poking around to see if I could find blender models, straight-up meshes, anything regarding the feline/canine meshes. after seeing flywheel on Deviantart and how they can pose their models and such, I wanted to attempt the same thing to display my presets in a more unique way  ;D

But 2 problems: 1) My computer doesn't like blender 2) My brain doesn't like blender  :(

Though my computer can handle SFM and I have worked with it for 2-3 years now, so I'm good on that. is there any way I can convert the models into SFM, or is there someone who deals with importing/exporting models that I can ask?

thanks in advance!
