Leaving / Leaving.
« on: July 14, 2016, 07:49:16 pm »

I came to this game late 2011 when I was going through a dark time in my life. Bullying at school became my main problem and was haunting my mind constantly and I was looking for an escape from the name calling and the tormenting. I found FeralHeart through a WolfQuest video and immediately I was hooked almost instantly. This game taught me that I wasn't alone in life, that people could and did care about me, and that I could make friends that I never thought I'd have. FeralHeart changed my life for the good, introduced me to the person I call best friend 5 years later.  This game brought many people into my life and I wouldn't change that for anything.

But now, after 5 years of being involved with this game I find myself slowly losing interest. I've tried getting myself back into it by getting into role plays but I could never seem to enjoy them. There's nothing 'new' that I can get myself into so that I don't lose interest. Role playing is becoming a bore to me, and I find myself getting into different things outside of FeralHeart. Even after I began realizing this, a few events went down that made me realize just how uncomfortable I was on FeralHeart. Seeing a few different faces on the game makes me far too weary to stay on for long anymore. Hell, not to be over-emotional or anything but I can barely look at the local chat when said certain people are there without almost crying half the time.
I don't want to deal with it anymore.

So I've decided that It's time for me to finally take my leave from FeralHeart.  I don't know if I'll return, and if I do I don't know when I'd do it. Could be a few weeks, few months, maybe even a year. I've just had enough with trying to get myself feeling happy on the game. It's not working.

I'd like to thank the FeralHeart staff for keeping this game up and running for all these hectic years. The game's really come far, yeah? It amazes me to see just how much this update has brought the game back to life. You've all did a wonderful, amazing, fantastic job.

I'd also like to thank the community as well. You guys are what make this game, and I don't think anyone could ask for a better group of people to play on a game. Those helpful people on the forums, you're all amazing, and you're doing a wonderful job.

I think that's all I can really say about my leave, I don't know where to go from here, so I guess I'll end it on this;

Goodbye!

Member Bio & Journals / First Day Volunteering
« on: April 13, 2016, 03:09:05 pm »
As the title says, yesterday was my first day volunteering! Specifically, yesterday was my first day volunteering at the equestrian center a little down the road from me named 'Evonly Equestrian Center' or 'Spring Hollow Morgan Farms'. As the name might state, the place specializes and only deals with Morgans. It was really, really fun, so I thought I'd share a few pictures and experiences I had there on my first day! First off, the pictures:

This is the very front of the place, and shows the road that you come up to get there. There's a very big pasture right out there and you get a perfect view of the horses grazing and playing.

This is the road coming up to the main barn on the right side of the farm. (There's two barns, the other one is for the foals and broodmares. The entire property is 185 acres!) I haven't learned the brown horse's name yet, but the black horse's name is Magic. I have another picture of her below.

This is on the side of the main barn, I haven't had a chance to meet any of these horses yet, so I haven't learned their names.

This is one of the main guys there. His name is Remi! He's still a stallion, and they're gonna start studding him this year to see if he produces any nice babies. He's really rambunctious, as expected from a stallion his age, but he's super pretty! They have to braid his forelock because its so long so it looks kinda goofy. We let him out into the big pasture in the first picture and he galloped around kicking up his hind legs for a few minutes, it was really funny.

And here's Magic! Her registered name is 'Spring Hollow Night Magic'. I haven't got a chance to interact a lot with her, but she seems really sweet so far. I wanted to get a picture of her sister, 'Spring Hollow Enchantress', or Tessa, while we were grooming her, but every time I brought my phone out she kept trying to eat it!

And that's it for the pictures! I'm probably going to get more next Tuesday.
Though there are a few more horses I'd have liked to get some pictures of.

When I first got to the barn, we drove to the other side of the farm to clean out pens, and the first two horses I met were M&M and 'Spring Hollow En Avant', or Avant. They were older, so they were really well mannered and didn't really pay too much mind to me.
But then we went into the pen with the yearlings.
Finn and Rio are the dynamic duo at this place right now, and they're definitely a handful.
Surprisingly, at first, they didn't pay too much mind to me, and let us clean the pen with ease. That is until we were getting ready to leave. Finn walked up to me to say hello, and attempted to nibble at my jacket, so of course I pulled my hand away so he couldn't, but instead of taking it as a 'no' and leaving it at that, he decided to turn it into a game of 'Chase Hooli around until she gives in'.
Luckily I was with one of the more experienced handlers there, so she quickly told him no and I was able to get out without any nibbled parts on my jacket. I have a feeling I'm gonna have a lot more fun experiences with those two.

We zoomed around the farm in a little cart.. jeep.. thing? I don't know what they're called, exactly. But it was really fun because I never really got to do that before.

We had to go grab Tessa out of one of the pens and take her up to the main barn, but what I wasn't told was that she was in a very narrow (yet long) pen with 5 other horses, so it was kind of nerve racking being surrounded by an entire herd of 1200lbs animals. Though luckily, again, I was there with Ann, the handler I was following around all day to learn the ropes. So whenever one of the horses acted up she quickly told them no. We grabbed Tessa and put her halter on, though went to check on one of the smallest horses in there, Bri, because she'd been having some weight problems. After checking on her we went back to Tessa, who had grabbed her lead and started chewing it.

So after we got her back to the barn and put her in one of the stalls, we had to groom her, though just before that she was greeted by the much smaller horse in the stall next to her, named Tucker, which she didn't take to very nicely. Hopefully they'll get along soon?

When the day was done and it was time to go home, I was so exhausted. My feet, shoulder, and back were killing me. I was ready to pass out as soon as I got home, though unfortunately I couldn't. When I finally could sleep, I hit the pillow and immediately did just that. Though now as I'm typing this, my back hurts about 3x worse than it did yesterday. Oh well! It was kind of worth it. Once all this pain goes away, I'll be able to experience it all over again next Tuesday.

Anyways, sorry for this long thread, I was just really excited and eager to share this because it was definitely one of the best experiences I've had in a while!

Introduction / I'm back?
« on: March 28, 2016, 10:34:30 pm »
Please move this if it isn't in the right area!

I'm not sure if anyone's noticed but I had a steady decline of inactivity both in-game and on the forums. I've been doing a few different things, most of it has been a bit of disinterest in the game while everything else has been personal reasons. Though I really, really want to try to get back into the swing of things again, that includes helping out people on the forums again since I always had so much fun doing that.

I'm not sure if anyone's missed me, but either way, I'm back, hopefully for a while. Feel free to talk to me if you see me in-game some time, I'd definitely be happy to spark up any conversation.

Praise / Happy New Year, everyone!
« on: January 01, 2016, 08:56:44 am »

I told myself I wasn't going to make a thread about this considering there's already a few out there, but I couldn't help myself!

So, I want to start off by saying Happy New Year, everyone! 2015 was a rollercoaster of emotions, both good and bad, and I'm super excited to see how 2016 turns out for not only myself but everyone in my life!

I want to thank everyone who's been in my life since I joined this wonderful little community 4 or so years ago, you've definitely helped make my life so much more worth living!
Just this community in general is so kind and giving, you guys are a huge part of my life and I'm so glad to be apart of such an amazing group of people! Each and every one of the FH members are so wonderful and so important, even if they don't realize this themselves. I want to with you guys the best with the next year to come, you all definitely deserve it!

I also want to thank the wonderful staff team we have keeping the game in check. The place wouldn't be the same without you, and without your hard work and determination to keep this game thriving we wouldn't have such a wonderful community as we do now! You guys do such an amazing job with your job, and through thick and thin you've pulled through and stood on top!

My new year's resolution(s) is to try to better myself both as a friend but as a person in general. I want to be seen as a kinder and  more helpful person, which is who I thrive to be both within the community and in real life.

For those who did, thanks for stickin' with me until the end of the year, I severely hope we can shoot for another year and make it to 2017 together.

Here's to 2016, everyone!

Leaving / Lock this please.
« on: December 09, 2015, 09:04:49 am »
So it turns out I can't even take a break like I wanted because the laptop that I use for schooling is so bad that I can't even use it anymore without crashing or losing connection. Which means I'm gonna have to use my normal computer and because I have horrible impulse control I'm gonna not gonna be able to use my computer without getting on Skype/FeralHeart/DeviantArt/etc. I was literally going to have my mom's boyfriend rip my computer from my room and put it in the basement. That's how extreme it is.

Anyways, yeah, just forget about this post. It can be locked.

Art Gallery / Hooli's Art [Requests Closed!]
« on: December 06, 2015, 08:38:56 am »

I've decided to share some of my art with everyone here on the forum. Bear with me here, it's not the best, but I do believe I'm at least decent at art and am improving.

Here's a little bit about me, myself, as a person! I decided it would be a cool thing to try to do a self-portait along with a few facts about myself. B) Keep in mind that's actually really not how I look in terms of body type as my body/face is a lot rounder/larger. I prefer drawing myself smaller due to being insecure.

Requests are currently CLOSED
1. Siggy - Fullbody of Sigyn [currently lining]
2. NutmegToboe - Fullbody of Vinny [not started]
3. AutumnTheWulf - Headshot of Autumn [not started]

Please fill out this form:
type of request [headshot, fullbody, etc]:

anything you want to add:

Note: I won't be doing detailed backgrounds.

My lovely warrior cat, Kestrelfrost.

A little piece I drew for two of my friends since their two RP characters became mates. c:

Drawn for the lovely Owlus <:

I don't even know why I even drew this guy I don't even like him- but yeah, Firestar from the Warriors series.

Here's a commission I did for PreachPeach on DeviantArt, though more formally known as Preach here on the forums!

An art-trade with Heart-Of-Draconia on DeviantArt of her character, Vapor. <:

A headshot I did for my friend Luca (Lucavir on FH) as a gift when he wasn't feeling his best. His warrior character, Sharknose.

A little gift I made for my friend Rei (Reikos on FH) <:

Game Discussion / Things you love about FeralHeart
« on: November 28, 2015, 04:04:47 am »
As a way to try to shine a light in the dark about what's been going on the entire, day, I decided to make this positive little post where you guys can share the things you absolutely love about FeralHeart! Whether its the members, the maps, the role plays, anything! I'd love to hear what you have to say.

As for me, here's a list of some of the things I love about the game:

- The community! Sure, there's those bad apples every once and a while but the people in FeralHeart really do care. They're very loving and friendly and are always willing to help each other out.

- The creativity! Even though there are only a few different things you can do with default FH, there are hundreds of custom markings that lovely members of the community have made for us to spice our characters up with! It's always great to see so many creative ways of making different characters, whether it be anatomic, colors or markings.

- The idea, of course. Who wouldn't want to walk around as a canine or feline, or role play as a warrior cat, wolf, horse, or even dragon? Even though the game isn't 'finished' I think it's lovely just as it is now. It really was a great idea to make the game the way it is, there's hardly any other games out there like it!

So that's only a few things that I love about the game, what are the things you love about it?
