Site/Forum Help / Old Posts?
« on: September 17, 2016, 11:04:23 pm »
So, I have an old preset thread where I was stating I was taking requests but also posting examples, but I sort of disappeared for a while.
Is it ok if I go back to posting on it (even though its several months old) or do I create a new one altogether?

If you look at the very top of the page, you'll be able to find the old layout's navigation bar with Home, Forum, Staff, etc. Click on Home and it should take you right back to the old layout's home page, where the golden box is available to you. Just log in with your account and head on over to the User Panel, and you'll be able to send your characters to the new Lonely Cave.
Thank you!

I feel kind of silly for not being able to find it but I sort of need to send a couple of characters to the new Lonely Cave still :')
I apologize if theres a post or like... its really obvious but I genuinely cannot find it, sorry :')

Maybe try changing your rendering system?
Well, I was about to try that- but for some odd reason it's begun working again.
I'll try it the next time it happens, as I know it'll happen again.

Edit: Tried that, still nothing. As a matter of fact, that transparent-chat texture glitch appeared again, LOL.

Maybe your keyboard isn't set up like the English standard keyboards so the game isn't recognizing it and seeing it as foreign.
I have used this computer for the longest time with FeralHeart [before the update] and have never had this problem before.

It should be set up like the standard English keyboard, considering I am from the U.S and this computer was bought in the U.S, lol. It seems to 'flicker' though as, like I said to Arc, it just suddenly started working again. Don't really know why, but I know that it hasn't been fixed and that it'll happen again sometime in the future.

I'm no computer guru, but I'd like to give my thoughts on this, if you don't mind:
Perhaps when you log in somehow your keyboard is still registered for the login typing-area(can't remember the name for it) and so whenever you go to play the game, your keyboard is being registered for the typing field for logging in on the "Play Game" page.
again, I could be entirely off track, but I'd like to help if I can

Game Help / Re: Perpetual Crashing

Make sure your internet is fast and strong for starters.
Also, you can possibly try changing the rendering systems, or simply changing the in-game settings ( water reflections off & distance 0 ) as well as avoiding very heavy populated places in case the lag is making you crash.
Make sure you don't have any duplicate files as well.
I mean, I can't imagine the internet causing the entire game to shut down the way it does.
I've got distance at 0 (always have) and I sort of can't avoid the heavily populated areas considering thats sort of my main hangout (the grounds)
I don't even lag before I crash, either :')
I don't know, I really just feel like I won't be able to play Feralheart on my mac, which is sort of my only option anyways. I'll have to figure something out

If you crash in the game never go back on the same character right away.

As of when you crash, the character will remain there for a while and I believe the server still recognize it being there. If you try to log on with the same character as they're still there, you will just instantly crash, so never do that. Instead, wait a good 2 minutes or something before you actually re-connect. This will avoid you from repetitive crashing.

Alright, I'll remember that.

I'm still stuck with the issue that I'm crashing so often in the first place, causing the whole problem :')

Game Help / Perpetual Crashing
« on: June 24, 2016, 07:58:08 pm »
I've got the Playonmac version for feral heart and for a while it'll be going alright, then I'll crash. Now, I go to get back on and the character will crash soon after I get back on.
On two occasions, the characters have been shoved halfway across the map.
For one, my character loaded UNDER the map and crashed (after the first crash)
Then, another character loaded at the portal to the lonely cave from the grounds and when I tried to move I'd float up (that was a fun experience :')
In other words, I just crash. A lot.
And the characters become unusable for.. a day or so? I don't really know the exact time.

I downloaded the character menu mod, but it doesn't seem to be working for me. I think it may have been placed in my old Feral-heart (which I sort of need to save for some files still in there) and I don't entirely know what to do. Any suggestions?
Not sure what you're asking of me.
If it was installed into your old FeralHeart, then you need to reinstall it and direct the installer to the proper FeralHeart folder.

Yeah, I can't say I understand what I was going for either with that question

I suppose I just need to figure out how to figure out what folder the proper feral heart folder is :')

Game Help / Re: Markings on Canine Tail issue
« on: June 24, 2016, 12:38:48 am »
This is the new mango marking pack for FeralHeart.

The thing I react on the most here is that it doesn't really show as it would normally if there was a problem. If it was a material problem and it was looking for something that doesn't exist it would be white. If it was a texture problem and the game was looking for a texture that didn't exist it would be yellow and black.

This makes me think it could be a rendering issue, especially if you look on that weird artifact looking part on the bottom of the tail. Try changing your rendering mode in video options, restart the game and see if it does anything. If it doesn't help, do you have anything installed such as GUI mods or textures using those colors?

They're not exactly normal to show in the game.
hail the walking mango-animals
Sure enough, switching the rendering over fixed the problem! Thank you so much for your help!
