Vell's quiet laughter subsided shortly after, replaced by an extreme curiosity. She felt herself leaning forward a bit, her eyes drawn to the two strange characters as they conversed, her previous efforts to be subtle while listening tossed aside. At this point she just couldn't help but watch them. "I will take it, do not even explain." Vell picked up the wolf reply to the hooded figure, Quite obviously they offered a job. But what can a wolf do to help? Maybe it's just cheaper to hire than a person. But they paid that other guy a ton of money... Wait, why would they hire a wolf anyway? She was stumped as to that. Maybe it wasn't anything difficult. But then why did the other man quit?
"I couldn't help but notice you're looking for some help." She was pulled from her thoughts as the guy with the axe stepped up into the conversation, quite confidently, she might add. I couldn't help but notice that too. She added mentally, although didn't catch her assumption through direct words. She hadn't heard the hooded figure's proposition to the wolf, but her guess on work was correct, so the specifics didn't matter. Is this something I could help with? Because if they need another person... maybe I could volunteer too. I could be useful. She fidgeted in her seat with the thought, the key beginning to loosen up in her grip again. Should I go over there and say something? She gave the idea a good three seconds before inwardly scolding herself. What am I talking about?? I don't take jobs. I don't even know what they are needing done.
Vell decided to just wait and see if she could pick up anymore information about this task that needed completing, or the soon-to-be hired help. And who exactly was this mysterious person giving out such a vague quest? Vell couldn't really tell anything about them, even from such a short distance separating them. Heck, she didn't even know what gender they were!
