Game Help / Character Editor? [Solved, but new problem; limited amount of characters?]

I made a new preset for one of my characters and it worked out fine, so I put it on that character last night. Well, I went back this morning to edit some things in the character editor and his preset suddenly turned into a different one that I made before.

The preset I gave the new character was called Char4, but when I look at what preset is selected in the editor, it says Char9, which is my other preset.

Well, I switch it back and confirm everything and then, as usual, he looks like he should in the character selector. But if I go back to the editor, he's wearing the other preset. In-game, he has the Char4 preset. But I really don't understand why they're being confused. I tried deleting the character and remaking him, but the same thing happens. Does anybody know why?

Edit: I tried editing one of my other characters that has a preset, and when I do, it switches to the Char9 one. I even took that preset out of my files, and it still does that... ;w;

Game Help / FeralHeart crashes the computer...

Well, I've had this problem since back in early august or so. I think it was v1.09, and FeralHeart began to make my computer crash after playing it for thirty minutes to an hour. I'd always have to be careful how long I played, or else everything would shut down. Because of that, I couldn't make maps; I was afraid that all the progress would be lost. I tried to solve the problem by using the trick that puts FeralHeart on the second core of the dual core processor, but that ended up making everything worse, including lag.

I stopped playing FeralHeart until just recently, because I found a cooling pad for my laptop and thought that maybe FeralHeart would finally work-- I always thought that it shut down due to overheating... But, sadly, it doesn't. >.< I don't know what's wrong with this computer; it would always work fine throughout the Summer with FeralHeart, and it's super new. My smaller NetBook computer never crashed like that with FeralHeart, but of course it was extremely laggy and the game would stop working a lot. The only games I've ever had on this computer are FeralHeart, ImpressiveTitle, and one smaller game that takes up virtually no space on the hard drive.

I'm not sure exactly what it does. When I start the computer back up, it doesn't explain what happened, but it says stuff about if the computer shut down to protect data, then has the option of safe mode and everything.

What I'm wondering is: Is it just a problem with my laptop? Or was there something in an update that changed some way that the game works? And is there a way to fix it? D:

I'm not even close to an expert on anatomy and all that, but there is one thing that bugs me...
The cat walk cycle compared to the wolf walk cycle.

I'll compare a lion and a wolf walking.

Pretty self-explanatory: Canines and felines don't walk the same way. I even went to go bug my own cats and test if this was true.

See the legs of the lion? Both legs on the lions left side are both facing backward, while the legs on the lion's right side are both going forwards?
And on the wolf's legs, two on one side are bunched together, while the other two are spread apart
Bad explanation, I know, but you can really see the difference without an explanation.

However, on FeralHeart, I was doing this with my own characters..

Game Help / I must make stars rain from the sky! D:

Okay... so..
I really need help. My friend had the idea of making stars rain from the sky, as you can choose different sorts of things to put in the weather other than snow and rain. She copied the Aura.material, Aura.particle, and star.png all to the Sky folder, and of course got the Ogre message that they already existed somewhere.

I know that you have to change the names to something else, but beinga derp, I somehow forgot what. I do know that you have to change the names of the files themselves, but what do you change in the coding of the .material and .particle?

Oh... And I always post for my bud 'cause she hisses at me when I tell her to post instead. owo"

Game Help / Custom water?

I downloaded some custom swamp water yesterday, which came with two textures and the material. I put the textures in the texture folder and the material in the material folder, and the first thing that came to mind was to go in Mapmaker and put in the material there under 'New Water'. But it just shows up white. D: Was there anything that I did wrong?

Game Help / Game crashes when you try to export? ;A;

My friend got into mapmaking, and she just made her first map. I think that it has some custom objects in it. I'm not sure. But she has the heightmap and terrain mask and everything.
But when she tries to export it, FH errors and stops responding. Does anybody know why? It keeps doing this every time.. D8

I dunno why. :c I think it has something to do with the portals, because it's the only map that has it, but I'm almost 100% sure that everything is fine with my game.. Buuut it's been doing this since the last update. Can anyone help me out? D8 Like, all of my characters are stuck there now. x3x

Is it because, uh, I didn't delete my old .fhz files... maybe?

Proof that I do have epic adventures. In-Game Roleplay & Group Advertisement / Warriors Four Clan RP!

There is no group, but you're expected to come online enough to participate in the Roleplay.
In the Four Clan RP, we're using the amazing Warriors Map provided by VitaniaKopa, as seen on Youtube. We're not claiming the map or anything, just inviting people to Roleplay there and support VitaniaKopa because it's normally so empty! =)

Please use proper warrior names unless you're a rogue. Put WindClan (WC), ShadowClan (SC), RiverClan (RC), or ThunderClan (TC) after your cat's name if you're going to Roleplay.
