Need Help with Custom Map Packaging.
« on: January 05, 2018, 08:41:51 am »
Can someone give me a list of EVERYTHING you need to include into a zip package for map downloads so that the download will be successful? I have had trouble with making sure EVERY necessary file was in the zip in the past and I don't want to make the mistake again. So someone please give me a complete list of ALL that you need to include into a zip file in order to make sure it installs properly and tell me where each of these things should go in the FeralHeart folder, thank you.

It really depends on what's included in your map =0

When you export, the game will tell you each and every file that's associated with the map. Write down each one, and go collect them in your "exports" folder. Have friends place these folders in their own "exports" folder. Typically the files will be .fhm, .fho, .fhs, and .fhw (though sometimes .fhs and .fhw files need to be placed into "sky" in order to work)

Any music? Place into "sounds"

Any special/custom textures? Place into "textures"

I hope this was helpful =0

It was, thank you, I am glad I finally got a response. I am sorry that I bumped this and my other problem rather soon. I just had not gotten a response lately so thankfully me bumping it got some help. So basically put everything and anything associated with it that is not already part of feral heart by default? Correct?

Basically, yeah ^^ I also recommend having a couple map testers try out your map to ensure that the download has everything that it needs
