As time continues to roll on, things have been rather quiet here for FeralHeart. Despite this silence, the community has still been showing their love for this little corner of the internet and things behind the scenes have continued to progress. We hope that you the community have been well, and we want to share with you some changes that have happened, as well as what we plan to be moving forward with into the future.
Events & Community Highlights The Gathering
a Weekly In-game Meetup
August 2022, community member and 2022 Autumn MOTS winner TheEarthSpirit put on a string of weekly in-game meetups to spark up some life in this quiet little game. It's always a grand time getting together with your friends and family to goof off and have some fun! Thank you TheEarthSpirit for putting in all the effort you did to bring the community together!

of Ascension Island, restored by Kwibjo!
Barrelling through September 2022, Community member Kingservant hosted a thrilling race to the top of FeralHeart's retired map Ascension Island! Fun and beautifully made certificates were given to participants who made it to the top. The exciting race resolved with community members TheEarthSpirit zooming in first place and Harleen flying in second place! Congratulations to the swift and skillful racers, and thank you Kingservant for putting on this thrilling race!
FeralHeart Appreciation Day
Throughout 2022, FeralHeart player and 2022 Autumn MOTS winner DylanCheetah hosted a good handful of events. One of the most notable was their lovely nostalgia-themed get together day to have a moment to remember all of the things we are thankful for in November. Time has a habit of sweeping you off your feet to whisk you away with life, so let us all take a moment to remember we can always slow down for a little and appreciate the people and things in our lives that mean the most to us. Thank you DylanCheetah for taking the time to put this together and spread your appreciation!
Staff Changes Staff Promotions: (Stand-in Admin)
- Ame88 (Moderator)
- LadySigyn (Moderator in Training)
- Majorest Staff Departures: (Moderator) - Kerriki
(Moderator) - Bloo. (Temporary leave)
FeralHeart continues to grow thanks to the commitment of not just its community but also its staff. To our departing staff we would like to thank you and extend our appreciation and well wishes as you bid farewell to the community you so lovingly served for years. Your hard work, dedication, passion, perseverance, and integrity was an important part of our team. We are grateful to have had the honor to work with you not just as staff but as partners and friends. We along with the entire community wish you every bit of success in all your future endeavors. Thank you and farewell.
Before continuing past this note, we would like to explain the situation regarding the "Stand-in Admin" position. With the unfortunate departure of our beloved administrator LordSuragaha and former senior moderator Kerriki, Ame88 has stepped into the leadership role until Razmirz works out who will be the next official administrator as he has not yet done so. We hope that you will continue to support us in this time, and we look forward to doing our best in bringing this community and game forward.
Development & ImprovementThe status of the game, it's staff, and future plans.Due to the wishes of our Server Master Razmirz, we are unfortunately limited on what we can share regarding the game's development. Despite this, we would like to share with you what we can and how we want to improve ourselves as staff. Game Related DevelopmentOver the past two years, development on the game has slowly been progressing. Please bear with us as we will have to be as vague as possible... Regarding our plans for the game and developments we are currently working on for the game, these are the main core things we are focusing on:
- Fixing the game's coding/bugs and improving its overall functionality
- Fixing the "boxy" look to the current maps
- Adding small details to the more "bland" areas of maps (namely The Grounds)
While some of these things may seem small, we first must fix and patch up what we have now before we can truly begin to expand into greater feats. If we were to attempt to try implementing anything too big before first fixing the issues we currently have, there would be more probability for error and issues to pop up as we progress forward. We hope that you can be understanding of this decision to take our time to correct the things we can first before moving forward. There is currently no ETA for a release date, however we will let you know as soon as we have one. Thank you all very much for hanging in there with us as we go through this process.
Now we're sure you're thinking...is this it? Fortunately, there is so much more we have behind the curtains and so many things we would like to share beyond what we have already listed. We are hoping to be able to share what we have in store with you soon!
With this news, we are still open and looking for potential content creators and developers for the game. If you have skills in texture creation, animating, map making and producing markings, please consider sharing your work with us for a chance to be recruited onto the development team! Click > here < for more information. Staff Related DevelopmentWith development being done to the game, we are also putting work and thought into how we function as staff. As our team continues to develop, we would like to share with you some of the ways we will be improving:
- Consistency Within the Staff
Unfortunately, there has been inconsistent and unfair acts of moderation from the staff in past years. Going forward, we will take steps to improve this. All staff will be equally trained with a fleshed out training guide to handle varying situations to ensure consistency with how we work. If and when this guide is updated with either a new situation or a better way to approach any situation, each staff member will review the lesson so we may continue to function properly.
- Staff Accountability
As we continue to progress and grow, we will be very diligent in keeping our team accountable for their actions. If a member of staff is found to display behaviors counter to how we should be moderating and interacting with our community, measures will be taken to either correct the behavior or remove the staff member in order to protect our community.
It is integral that we as staff take measures to improve ourselves whenever we have the opportunity. We would like to give a big thank you to you the community for keeping us on our toes and helping direct us to do better.
We also have a new set of anonymous community feedback polls! It is very important that we hear from you the community so we can pinpoint areas in need if improvement that we cannot see. Your voice is important to us and we want to hear from you! Click > here < to view them.
