I am unable to connect to the front server for the new update.  Is this across all accounts, or is it just me?

Oh and also asking, I tried getting into the start of the game by resetting my characters location but I could not access it, is there any reason for that?

Could be the trafficking since everyone was getting in all at once. So it could be a wait.
Make sure that you also logged into the tab when you click, 'Play Game.'

Out of curiosity- seeing as all of this was apparently possible without the source, is it possible to add new player meshes/new species to the game?

Like model wise? Probably not. Plus it might take away the 'effect' of Feral-Heart.

Firstly, it would be impossible to add any new species, or add anything extra. To add the extra 'slots', you would need the source code.

Redoing the player model would theoretically be possible, but very difficult and time consuming.

Pretty much everything in the update is just a revamp of old stuff. They have been able to add new maps and meshes and such, but not add new coding.
