Hello everyone. c:
As promised, I have made a new ReShade config for FH!

NOTE: I did not MAKE ReShade (Find it here: reshade.me). All credits go to the makers of the injectors and shaders. This is simply a config for FH that I made.

ANOTHER NOTE: Please TURN OFF ReShade (Press Scroll Lock) when using the character creation screen. It will be hard to see if you leave it on.

Make sure you run FH in OpenGL, otherwise ReShade will not work!

DOWNLOAD: https://www.dropbox.com/s/7kogya96kwpqtaj/Crusoe%27s%20ReShade%20Config%20v2%20For%20FH%20v1.15.7z?dl=1

HOW TO INSTALL:
1. Download the 7z file from the link above.
2. Extract the 7z into a folder.
3. Inside the folder, there should be three things; a folder called 'ReShade,' a file called ReShade.fx, and a DLL called opengl32.dll. Drag these files into the root of your Feral-Heart directory.
4. Launch the game in OpenGL. To do this, just launch the game, go to options, video tab. Go to 'Rendering Subsystem' and change it to OpenGL, then restart.
5. Bam! It should work. :D

Ello everyone. I've been messing around with MasterEffect (Another graphical mod xP). I was planning on releasing this sooner, but I got too lazy. Also, while testing, I used FHD and when I copied MasterEffect over to a clean install of FH, the effect came out DRASTICALLY different, so I had to adjust it. Here are the screenshots:

The magical download link to V1!:
http://www.mediafire.com/download/kycp7cc2xh7azen/Crusoe%27s+MasterEffect+Config+V1.zip

To turn the MasterEffect on or off, use ScrollLock. By default, MasterEffect is already enabled. Also, make sure your rendering subsystem is OpenGL, otherwise, this will not work!
The original intention was to create a darker atmosphere while still colorful and not dull like how FH would normally look. The screenshots might show up a bit dark, but when playing the actual game, it isn't as dark is the pictures look. Enjoy!

UPDATE (5/21/2016):
I've updated the MasterEffect config so it isn't as dark any more, but as a result, I had to adjust the bloom as it would make some parts of the UI really bright. It may still bug you though. If it does bug you, just open up MasterEffect.h in a text editor  and find the 'Bloom' settings then change it to your liking. c:

UPDATE [6/11/2016]:

Since the new update, I tested out MasterEffect and it does not seem to like the new UI and character creation screen, so I had to update it once again. :P

Game Help / Shadows setting?
« on: January 12, 2016, 02:42:37 am »
So, while I was messing around with the config files in the FH directory, I came across a few lines in settings.cfg that caught my eye:

Code: [Select]
[Video]
Shadows=false
ShadowDetail=0

I tried experimenting with the options, but I have seen no change in how the game looks. Any help on how or what this can be used for? It could really help me out here. C:

Other Mods/Creations / Crusoe's Music Mod for FH! C:
« on: December 26, 2015, 08:11:05 pm »
Hallo everyone. I just finished this music mod up yesterday.
Anyways, after I found out FH could play OGG Vorbis files, I wanted to show you all a demonstration of how much better the in-game music could sound, and how else to show you all? A music mod of course!

The music mod contains three songs from the original Feral-Heart soundtrack and three new ones, sounding all nice and clear in OGG Vorbis files. C:
All these songs have bitrates of 300-500KBPS.
Here is the list of songs:

caves1 = Moon Temple - Karunesh <== Default FH.

caves2 = Secunda - Jeremy Soule <== New.

plains1 = Autumn - Immediate Music <== Default FH.

plains2 = Frostfall - Jeremy Soule <== New.

plains3 = White Buffalo - Apache <== Default FH.

title = Black Mesa Theme (Mesa Remix) - Joel Nielson <== New.

Anyways, enjoy!

Note: I did not create this music. All rights go to their respective owners.
         Also, the main title song might take at least five seconds to begin, as there is a long silence in the beginning.

Instructions are in the README File!

So, while I was messing around with the audio in the Feral-Heart directory (Specifically music directory), I found out something that might or might not be helpful.

Apparently, FH can play OGG Vorbis files, and I had not know that. Personally, I think this could be pretty beneficial, as OGG Vorbis sounds a lot better than MP3 (My opinion, of course). MP3's can only go up to 320 KBPS, however OGG Vorbis can go up to 500 KBPS, sounding more cleaner and closer to original CD quality.

I was able to play an OGG Vorbis song that had a bitrate of 478 KBPS perfectly fine.

Either way, I hope this information can help you all in some way. C:

Game Help / Question about the textures.
« on: December 24, 2015, 03:38:01 am »
Quick question about Feral-Heart and its textures.

Is it possible to use textures with higher resolutions for textures? Something like 2048 x 2048 or 1024 x 1024?

Finally, after a bit of tuning up, I have finished making this ReShade for Feral-Heart.

Best things is, it's for OpenGL. C:

This may be a bit performance heavy, so I would only suggest you getting this mod if you think your computer can handle it.

If it's not working, making sure you change your rendering sub-system to OpenGL.

EDIT: I have the new version out now. This should lessen the intensity of lens flares so you can actually see, and turns off godrays. Overall, should have better performance.

Download Link updated: http://www.mediafire.com/download/d6x4pknifogf0f3/Crusoe%27s+ReShade+%28OpenGL+V1.1%29.zip

-INSTALLATION-

1. Download the zip and extract it into a folder.
2. Open the folder and copy or cut all the files within the folder.
3. Paste the files inside the FeralHeart directory (C:\FeralHeart)
4. Open up ogre.cfg and check that the first line is:

Code: [Select]
Render System=OpenGL Rendering Subsystem
5. Launch the game, and enjoy. C:

Note: By default, ReShade will start. Use Scroll Lock to turn it on or off. You can change this by going into: C:\FeralHeart\ReShade\Common.cfg

Find this line:
Code: [Select]
#define RFX_ToggleKey VK_SCROLL //[undef] //-Set the global key that should toggle the effects On/Off. Go to ReShade/Common/KeyCodes.h for additional key codes.

Change VK_SCROLL to VK_F5 if you want to use F5 to enable/disable ReShade.

Anyways, have fun. C:

Also, screenshot:

-UPDATE- 12/25/15

And yet, another update for ReShade.
I turned off lens flares completely, mainly to improve performance, plus the sky is already way to bright.
Overall, I tuned this version up for performance. Download link will be down below.

-UPDATE- 1/12/16

Another update for ReShade. This is a lighter version, which disables sepia, DOF, and SMAA, leaving only FXAA on.

-Lens flares, god rays, and lens dirt.
-Most things from original SweetFX that I made.
-Grain Effect.
-Depth Of Field for a more realistic look. C:
-And a few more features!

Take a look and admire. C:

Game Help / How can I get to the OGRE Rendering Setup? (FIXED)
« on: December 01, 2015, 02:37:57 am »
I've been trying to get into the OGRE Rendering Setup (You know, that one thing with all the fancy settings when you start up Feral-Heart for the first time XP). Is there any way how I can do this?

20
I've finally decided to try and tackle using ENB. Once I felt like I was done, I decided to combine SweetFX and ENB to come up with this project. This graphics mod gives Feral-Heart a slightly dark feel, combined with my SweetFX I made awhile back. Enjoy! C:

DOWNLOAD:
http://www.mediafire.com/download/x3fus4t1bbxlrju/Crusoe%27s+SweetFX-ENB+For+Feral-Heart+%28V1.1%29.zip

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Download and extract the zip file.

2. Copy or cut and paste the files that were inside the folder you just extracted, right into the Feral-Heart directory.

3. Launch the game. By default, the mod will be automatically turned on. Press F12 to turn off SweetFX ONLY, press it again to turn it on. Press Shift + F12 to turn off only ENB, press they keys to turn on ENB again.

Basically, if you want both on (Remember, by default, it's on, so by doing this, you will turn it off. Follow these same steps to turn it back on), press F12 + Shift, then press F12 again.

Have fun!

EDIT: Finally have some screenshots! It goes from an order of off, then on.
