Introduction

Greetings fellow Feralians! After deciding not to be lazy anymore (at least for now lol), and actually focus on working on this post, I present to you the first set of screenshots that I plan to share with you all! In each post I will be including around 10 screenshots for you to look at, as well as the time period in which they were taken, their location (map), and maybe personal comments in some cases.

Before we continue, I want to give a shoutout to both AeroHour and toonanimals317 for providing me with useful information and tutorials on how to include images in posts, as well as using BBCodes, colors and fonts!

Screenshots

Date taken: November 19th of 2023
Locations:Kibou Ridge and Seaside Grove

Kibou Ridge

Comments: In these screenshots I wanted to take advantage of Kibou Ridge's vastness by taking them in elevated terrain, allowing the ground and mountains to be featured. Sadly, these aren't really my favorite Kibou Ridge screenshots, but I promise that in the future I will show others that I believe do this gorgeous map the justice it deserves.

Seaside Grove

Comments: This time I found a peculiar log placed across this mini river which immediately caught my attention, not only because I really liked the reflections it gave, but also because it reminds me a bit of some of my first FHU screenshots I ever took. Also, thanks to these screenshots I began to realize that this map is anything but simple, and that it has a lot of potential for taking pictures. You will definitely be seeing more of this map in my future posts lol. Additionally, I was trying to create a pfp out of the last screenshot, though I wasn't able to. I might include it in my profile...once I decide to work on it lol.

Final thoughts

Well, that's it for now Feralians! I honestly am not a big fan of this first set, mainly because all images from each map group look extremely similar to one another, reducing the feeling of variety. Nonetheless, perhaps this is due to the fact that these are my oldest (non corrupted :'() FH screenshots, and I'm confident that most of the upcoming ones are (and will be) better! Plus, I still think this post will be very useful for me, as I would love to hear any sort of feedback and or recommendations that you would like to share with me,whether it is regarding format, colors, numbers of screenshots, etc., so I can improve the quality of the next screenshot posts I make.

With all that said, thank you for taking your time to go through this post, and see you around!

I noticed that Aero posted some helpful links and would like to include my own! Here's the tutorial I made on forum text colors and fonts!

Imgur isn't always the best solution for images as its been a little wonky recently (at least for me), sometimes links don't stay permanent on there from what I've noticed, but it is still a great image hosting website! If you use Discord you can directly link any images you post there since they host their images, and there's another great website called postimage.org which seems to be working just fine and keeping links!

These are the codes I use most often:

Text colors
Code: [Select]
[color=colorname]text here[/color]
Text fonts
Code: [Select]
[font=font name]text here[/font]Images
Code: [Select]
[img]imagelink[/img] - you can change the height and width of the image if you feel the need by using
Code: [Select]
[img width=# height=#]imagelink[/img]
Finally, to insert a link into text,
Code: [Select]
[url=linkhere]text[/url] This will make links show up like I did my 'forum text colors and fonts' link! You can also change the color of it like I did to make it easier to see just by putting the color code around the url code.

Hope these all help! Let me know if you have any questions, and again, welcome to our wonderful community!
Oh? It is quite nice of you to decide to jump in! I really wasn't expecting this.

My my, posting images definitely can't be as simple as it sounds, can it? Haha. Thank you for the heads-up btw! I guess I should give imgur, discord and postimage a try, and see which one works better for me. Thank goodness I haven't actually posted any images yet...which I should have posted by now lol, both for my profile and for a series of posts I plan on making. For those though I will be reaching out to you and Panzer soon, so I can get some help and advice.

Thank you so much for coming back to this post and giving me this extra info! (I totally have not changed the colors used in this quote various times already lol).

Helloo. Welcome to Feralheart! I hope you enjoy your stay here on the forums and in game. I haven't been active much myself really, but if you need anything or have any questions then don't hesitate to pick my brain (lol), or even ask one of the many awesome community members and staff for that matter. Anyway enough yapping! Take care!  8)
Hey, thank you! Both seem like very promising places to keep on exploring! Thank you for the offer! I will definitely keep you in mind if I ever need help with stuff! You too take care!

Hey and welcome !!
It's really nice to know that even someone who's just now joining FH can still see the charm of the game & community.

The forums are a bit of a learning curve and I unfortunately stayed away from the forums for years despite being a user since 2011.
But turns out the forums are great haha, you just have to get the hang of it.

There are tutorials for pretty much everything on the forums, including coding, map making, and presets making.
Additionally, you can find BBCoding tutorials elsewhere if you google it.

I'll give you a quick tutorial on how to add images/screenshots to the forums.
You'll first want to upload the photo to an image hosting service. People have used Photobucket and Flickr in the past. But I recommend using Imgur.

Once you upload an image to Imgur, you'll want to click "Get share links"

Then you'll want to copy where it says "BBCode (Forums)"

Then on the forums you're gonna want to paste that link into a code you'll type out. Here's what it should look like:

Where it says img width you can just mess around with the size, it does not have to be 650. The bigger the number, the bigger the image will appear.

I'll leave a few other links to some fun and helpful tutorials:

Hope this helps!
Hey! Thanks!
It is hard to ignore honestly, for it is fill with passion!

Whoa, yet another person who began playing such a long time ago! Yeah, this forum format is definitely not what is
common nowadays, and it can feel odd to navigate and use them. It's nice knowing that I am not really alone when
comes to me not having a master level when it comes to the forums haha.

Hey, that is actually cool! Even if I prefer a more directly guided way of learning, I feel like it's worth giving them a try,
and hey, it really sounds like there's many of them, and I'm pretty sure they are high quality! I wasn't expecting there to
be coding tutorials tbh, though I am more interested in those involving maps.
Goodness, this is the first time I hear about BBCoding ever, so I'll be sure to keep in mind that term.

Dude, the image tutorial is super useful! Kudos to you for going an extra thousand miles and providing a clear step by step
guide with images! It really shows how much effort you put into willing to help me, which I really appreciate!
I will also be sure to check out the tutorials you have linked! I will definitely be returning to this comment more than once!

Oh it will definitely help! Once again, thank you so much for taking your time to provide me with all this in info, and in a
very organized and clear way! Now I will be able to make a post featuring some of my screenshots!

Welcome to FeralHeart! As someone that's been a member of this wonderful community since 2011, I can tell you that it is a great experience. Although it is not as active as it used to be, I have found people that I would consider to be lifelong friends from this silly little game. May you find amazing friends as well!
Thanks! 2011?! That is very insane and cool! This game must really mean a lot for you. Thank you once again! I am looking forward to it!

welcome to the fh community! enjoy your time 'round here.
Thank you! I really look forward towards it! Also, I noticed that your message includes an image (probably part of what is called a "signature"), but for some reason I can't see what it is, and now I am kinda curious to know what it is lol.

Hello fellow Late-To-the-Clubber! ;D
Eeeey nice! I'm not that alone lol. When did you begin playing? That, if you don't mind me asking lol.
2018, but I had known about the game since 2015.
That's a decent amount of years already! One cannot really think as 2018 as "not too long ago" lol.
