My friend's group map won't open

This morning, me and a few members of the group (including the map maker) were unable to get on to our map. We keep getting "Failed to connect to the map server. Retry" when we try to get on. Now we are trying to find a way to fix this, but we could really use some help. If you have any tips for us please comment.

It just means that you can't connect to the server. Sometimes it happens with very big/laggy maps. Also there's been server downtime recently, if you haven't been on in the past few days! XD

We were all in until at least 12am last night, but thanks. I will tell my friend cause she isn't happy at all.
