Partical Glitch when map Exporting
« on: July 11, 2012, 02:09:55 pm »
I have made a map, but when I export it the -0 partical files show up in my partical folder, and the game crashes right when it expots the particals. Will I not ever beable to export it?

All you have to do is delete any copies of particles that show up to get your game working again. This will happen every time you export, see keep an eye out for these in "particles" "my_objects" and "Sky" folders.

They will have numbers tacked on the end

yes, But you see, it crashed RIGHT when it was exporting. I delete the files, export again, but it does the same thing.

what particles are you using?

have had a problem similar to this, though for me I had to take out the sky file to finally make it work and redo it.

in some cases, it may not even be the particles causing problem, as they shouldn't make you crash just by using them.

attempt to take out a custom sky if you have it, or custom weather, and try reexporting.

also, may prove useful if when it's exporting and it freezes up, not to touch it, it may seem like its not responding, but it is. just processing a lot of information.
