Pinefur was born into EchoClan, her mother she never knew though. As an apprentice, her mentor was destined to be Oakfall. When Pinekit was born, Oakfall had been Oakpaw. But now, she was honored to have him as a mentor. When all seemed well, Oakfall took on the responsibility of two apprentices, one was very jealous of Pinepaw and her close bond to the tom. Pinepaw insisted she was granted with a new mentor, the mentor was her close-apprentice friend Banehollow. As apprentices, they grew fond of each other. "Maybe, I could be your mentor when we get older!" Banepaw would always say, full of hope. Now that it was true, Pinepaw was happier than ever.
A few moons later, Pinepaw was taught how to climb by a strange cat she'd met in the forest. After a while, the apprentice would sneek into Pinepaw's territory to see her. Pinepaw was granted the name Pinefur, as a warrior. The tom would still come to EchoClan camp though, which was not good. Hawktalon found out, and banished him from the land. Pinefur was very upset, but Banehollow was there at her side through the whole shabang. Pinefur has grown very fond of Banehollow.
