The Map above is to show you all which territories are available. All the rings are available territories in this map.It doesn't matter if your a wolf/Fox/Polar Bear or snow leopard.However when it comes to seeking a territory you must have a pack. 1 single person can't claim a territory, However a person that has a mate can claim a territory to start a family of their own. MASAIMARA MAP Updated with new stuff to make it alittle more on the realistic side.

MasaiMara now has 2 seasons. Wet And Dry Season. It'll be easier for predators and prey in the wet season however the dry season can be tough to survive in. Specially the lack of food and water around.

Dead mans drop is the place with where wildebeest and zebra's gather to cross to the other side to more bountiful land. If they cant find a way down they jump in a river infested with crocodiles.

RULES:
1) Do not give this map out to anyone. You can tell your friends about the map but dont give them the link. I'll know if they arent supposed to be in the map as their name isnt on the allowed list. Whoever breaks this rule the map will be taken down from public use and used only as a private map. Yes this might not be fair for players who follow the rules but they will know personally who stopped them from getting the map.
2) No bullying players
3) No claiming parts of the map as yours, Rping is allowed just dont chase players away from an area. (Only do this if its part of a rp and the other players have accepted it as a rp)
4) Dont tell players to leave the map. It isnt your map to decide who stays or who goes.

to Jewelz: we werent sure if we were gonna add that rockden in but decided it would be fun to. Something else for the players to do on the map.

to Wudiin: yeah i used the ocean option. If i used just the regular water option when ever i tested the maps the lion would run through the water instead of swimming in it. So then me and my sister decided to check the ocean water. It let us swim. So we had no choice to use the ocean water option.

WOW AMAZING! Also how do you make the rivers when i go on map creator or object maker and click 'new water' its just a square of water which you walk under and its in the sky :( (im new here so..)

Claudia: when placing water you have to Click new water (which you did) then go to controls. make sure the water you placed is yellow (means that the object is selected.) Look down and you will see something that looks like this:

Position Scale
X: <-- (Numbershere) --> <-- (NumbersHere) -->
Y: <-- (NumbersHere) --> <-- (NumbersHere) -->
Z: <-- (NumbersHere) --> <-- (NumbersHere) -->

Position moves the water around from left to right and up and down. The scale options resizes the object.

below this will be

<-- Pitch --> <-- Yaw --> <-- Roll -->

Pitch rotates the objects up and down
Yaw rotates the objects left and right
Roll, rolls the object.

So basically all you need to do is press the position and scale arrow buttons to move the water around. including through ground or even in sky.

Angela rivet: thanks its taken us ages so far.

and for Leafwolf: most likely we wont be doing that pride. Are you thinking of Matriarch pride. The leader of that pride was someone called lisa. that was a fun pride. The last time i was in Masai Mara i was one of my characters, Baloo infact. She had her teenaged daughter with a young male thats related to baloo's daughter. There half siblings his name is Gambit. Well we were attacked by a male in MM. Baloo tried defending them but sadly Gambit got hurt. He's alive luckly. But masai Mara has seen loads of rps.

we make a good team, the old MasaiMara and Alaska are not as good as the newer ones. Before the game comes out were going to be testing the maps so that we can see if everything is in its right place. But the maps are huge so it will take awhile.

Woman, Alaska and Masai Mara....I have no words. I really dropped my jaw when seeing the remake of Alaska, and later even more grassy masai mara *faintplz*. Does that tell you how much I like em?

thanks crazz. Yes juvi it tells me how much you like them lol. BUT got some bad news for you, the grass cant go throughout masai mara as it lags. My pc can handle practically everything you throw at it. But it was literally coughing because of the lag the grass was giving. When you looked away from the grass there was no lag whats so ever but when you looked in the direction of the grass your computer will cry because it cant handle it.

Well dont worry theres still grass in but not throughout the map. Lets say the grass area will be a hunting area. But theres not too much grass to give you lag. So people will crap pc's be careful. I would make a video for Alaska and Masai Mara for you all to see but unfortually i dont have a camera. have a a cam thing that i downloaded but probably wont be able to run properly. I could give it a shot to see if the vids are smooth once done. Just like Before Alaska is cold. there is sound added in alaska that makes it seem cold and can actually make you cold trust me i ended up shrivering without realising. And for MM It looks pretty but can also be dangerous and deadly. Not just that MM will be handy for leopards as i think all the trees there are climbable. You get chased the safest place for you is in a tree.

*EDIT*: ok Masai Mara video up now starting the making of alaska vid BUT it wont be up until tomorrow its like 5:23 am here >.< and tired ;_;

*EDIT AGAIN*: ok Alaska Video is also up. Its not as long as MM for vid size. But the quality is the same. When i get enough money together i might get a better video recorder.

XD suki i remember you long time no see. Its been awhile and thanks. Their just a remake of MasaiMara and Kenya together this time. I thought about doing it on IT but decided to wait for FH. I might be doing a few extra updates with MM before FH comes out. I might decide to actually try having the grass throughout MM but it might cause lag for people will less powerful pc's. So me and zuko are still thinking about it.

EDIT: i almost forgot to say that i've come up with a idea for the grass in MM. I now know why the grass was causing lag. Its been fixed and no lag is present. But now i have to think of other people's pc's. people that have weak pc's might have lag trouble so what i will have to do is when sending out the map is figure out how to disable the grass for other people's pc. If the .map file is just sent out then people will get the grass. So what i will do is put 2 .map files up for download 1 for MM with Grass and the other one MM without grass.
Tell me if you think this idea will come in handy.

If you don't mind me asking, how did you get your grass not to lagg as much? I have a map I'm making with a grassy valley, and it's gonna lagg with the amount of grass I add, so I was just wondering, if you don't mind sharing.X)

Thanks Guys, all these positive comments from all of you make it easier to relax now. At first we thought that we mightn't do a good job compared to the 1st ones we made so these comments are making us realise that we did do a better job this time round.

@Moonlight ~ Wildcat26:

we had placed most of the grass around 1 side of MasaiMara but eventually it started taking effect on our pc. It was fine when you didnt look towards the grass but the second you looked in the direction you got a huge lag spike. You could be miles away and still get the lag when you look towards the direction of the grass. So unfortuality we had to remove most of the grass to the point where no lag was present. The only way to have grass thoughout a map is if kovLKD made it so you can place grass thoughout the map without lag. And to tell it where you want or dont want grass would be using a Mask like he did for Impressive Title. So really what your doing now will eventually get grass throughout your map but it will be laggy.

EDIT: Alaska's waterfalls now have sound.

*New Update 01/02/2011*

New map called Paradise has been completed. This map is for anyone to play on. were not sure if it will be claimable yet. But its mainly for a place of relaxing ect. Rping is aloud in this map so feel free to do so. Its a safe and bountiful place. So surviving here will be easy. Unless if the map was claimable then there could be clan rivalry XD.

well it worked when i placed it in the fhz map folder. so maybe it works both ways nvm. i put the download link for the textures ect. i also added instructions in there so you know where to place the textures and sounds.

EDIT: Paradise is now up. will have to wait for MM its having trouble exporting

You need to unzip it, then put everything into place.

yeah i had to take the cottage out of paradise for the time being. For some unknown reason the cottage material wasnt working so the cottage showed up white. Even when i added the new material file it wouldnt work. There's still some bugs to fix like certain stuff not showing up in both alaska and Paradise. There should be tree's in Paradise. But since their custom trees make sure you have added the codes in for them to show up

Edit;; Gaara, one of the codes for Myplants, and the other two is causing a problem. I added em, and I couldn't log back onto my character. It keeps saying this program had ran into a problem, and so on.

the alaska map twilia? if so go to MyPlants file in objects find the name of the plant that is causing the problem and remove it. But dragging over it and deleting it. Then save and exit. see if that works

hmm. i'll look through my files. For now it might be best to just take all the plants out until we know whats causing the problem

EDIT: i've looked through the objects file and the plants that i've added in the map arent custom so im not sure why they are causing problems for you.

EDIT2:ok now another little update. The pack Requirium has claimed a territory in alaska. I posted a picture of alaska with all the border lines of the territories. Twilia enjoy playing and defending your pack territory.

UPDATE: 16/03/2011

Me and Gaara have cleaned up the thread now, everything seems to be more organised now and not all over the place. We have also remade the download links for all the maps so that instead of downloading a few files for each map we packed each map type with all the stuff it needs. So when download alaska or paradise now theres no need to click more then 1 alaska download link.

Also Gaara uploaded my map for me, she stayed up most of the night getting everything in its right place and writing out the instructions for it. Including the other maps that shes repacked. The map is called WolvesDen. Its for WereWolves and Vampires. Vampires enslaved Werewolves here. But now the werewolves have broken free and now the 2 species are at war with eachother. ok for Krystal the .map file go in media then terrains. Place the .map file there.

Now for the fhz file. stay where you placed the .map file. theres a folder called fhzmaps. place the fhz file there.

For miette make sure you have placed all the codes in the right places. The reason why it mightnt let you in the map is because it cant find the meshes. These codes are needed to be placed in the notepad files which it tells you in the instructions. It normally wouldnt let you open those files like Myplants ect so you must open them with notepad. Then you place the codes in that are needed. It tells you which code goes where in the instructions. Also When placing the meshes over make sure you DO NOT PLACE THE FOLDERS OVER. just the stuff inside the downloaded folder not the folder itself. This could be another reason why the game is crashing as it also cant find the meshes because a folder is in its way.

ok krystal. Did you place the .fhz file in the fhmaps folder?
the .map in the terrains folder (Watermill and default should be there. thats where you place the .map)
The terrain textures go in FeralHeart\media\terrains\textures

((to understand that location its the address bar. When you double click on your d or c drive it will tell you where you are.))

Now, the meshes,material files,music ect go in my_objects folder.

FeralHeart\media\objects\my_objects

Ok now for the mesh codes they go in the OBJECT FILES located outside my_objects and located in objects folder. There at the bottom open the ones needed with notepad. If you still have the codes it tell you which mesh code goes in what OBJECT FILE.

And for the other viewers. new update. A new map. or should i say maps.

depends if i can get blender to work for me. Atm it isnt allowing me to export meshes. I can still make and texture them but it wont let me export. I might reinstall it. But for the time being im taking a break with map making that way it gives me time to think of idea's. I've made that many maps since IT and cant think of any good ideas atm. But i'll ask zuko about it and see if she has any ideas.

also another map update. This map belongs to zukorocks! this time. Its called Ngorongoro. Its a savannah map and its public. It isnt too big but not too small either. Its for a pride im thinking about reviving but its only temporary until MasaiMara is able to export.

*Update* Finally got MasaiMara to export. Thanks to bladeliger she had the same problem and learnt it was a coding issue. I accidently had to masks but i was only using 1. So i got rid of the mask i wasnt using and it exported. Thanks bladeliger. So people enjoy MasaiMara. The map is big but not too big where you get lost. there are a few things to explore. Try finding the village. Enjoy..

Do not take the rockden or the hut to use in your own maps. If you want to use them ask for permission. If you dont ask permission and i find that my objects were used i will get a mod involved. It is classed as stealing so no stealing from me. However your free to use the tree stump. That was a free object i downloaded from the net. I tried to make my own but failed.

did you place the MasaiMara.map file in terrains? Located here

you need the MasaiMaraObjects in

C:/FeralHeart\media\objects

You also must Place the Meshes in my_objects. Without all these in the right place they wont work Meshes go

Terrain Textures Go

C:/FeralHeart/media/textures

the only thing why i can think of MasaiMara to crash is because something isnt installed in the right place. Go through all these locations and make sure they are there.

*Update 06/05/2011* quick draft for a leopard den im making for MasaiMara. Yes your able to sit inside the den. No need for in cave portal. The mesh is done now took me all night to get it made,textured and then fixed so that it wasnt see through.. All i need now is to design it into MasaiMara. I will be adding in a new rain file too so that it doesnt rain as often. More Dry days and nights without the rain.

EDIT:Also another thing to look forward too is crocs. Got the mesh working. Though they dont move they still get the point across and make the map feel more like a savannah map.Pic Below: Images might take a while to load

gingafan09 did you place the MasaiMara.fhz with .Map? if so its in the wrong place. It should be in the fhmaps.

OR have you placed all the folders instead of the files. The game cant read through custom Folders. All you should have moved over is the files inside the folders. Not the folders.

example:when placing the terrain textures in your supposed to move only the textures. That way the game will read it. The game isnt coded to read a custom folder then textures. Only Textures first. Same goes with meshes as well.

EDIT: Ok now the upgraded MasaiMara is done. It doesnt rain as much infact its normally always dry but depending on how long you stay on the map eventually the rain should appear. I added a leopard den for you to find and Crocs XD enjoy. Hopefully also the tree stumps are climbable now. I dont understand why it didnt allow it to be solid before.

well make sure you moved over the files NOT THE FOLDERS. this can cause problems. Other then that i'm not sure what is causing the problem. If you have done everything right then the best thing for you to do at the moment is to delete MasaiMara so that you can get your character back. It could be your pc. Some pc's dont let people in certain maps and some pc's do.
Take me for instance..
i have 2 pc's 1 shared with me and my sis and one that actually belongs to my parents. I upgraded MM and the meshes that worked on my pc didnt show up on my parents pc even though everything was in the right place. However i managed to fix that. But since i cant see where you've put everything i cant figure out whats causing it to not let you in the map. To get to the bottom of it i would need a detailed explaination of where you placed everything.

thanks ruby. I spent alot of time getting the Leopard den working. At first it wouldnt export. The i had to fix that add a texture and when adding it into the game it became transparent. I was really stumped on why it was transparent so i checked up on the net for blender tuts. Turned out i forgot to do a few things. But since that was sorted the den was pretty fun to make. Must start learning more about blender. So i could make more Stuff for maps.

When I go to the Alaska map, it crashes. It tells me it can't find the Terrain.cgf file or something like that, I did what the instructions said, although I did notice another idem not included, I think the terrain.cgf file, where do I put it?

IceheartWarrior did you put the Alaska.map file in the FeralHeart\media\terrains folder. It needs to go there. That has the scripting for what the map to read. So the alaskaTerrain.cfg would either be the location of the fhz file or the .map coding.

Make sure both files are in these locations.

Alaska.map in FeralHeart\media\terrains

and the

Alaska.fhz in the FeralHeart\media\terrains\fhmaps folder

These must be in the right folder. Try that and if you still have problems tell me

I did that and it still doesn't work, the file I leave out is Thumbs, but I can't put it in my folder, I can't take it out of the zip folder thingy (LOL I iz dumb at some computer things)

IceheartWarrior leave out thumbs. Thats just a rar file thing. I dont know why it adds that. Anyways i'll do a quick list to make sure you follow everything fully. I know about the .map and fhz in the right place.

Terrains textures should go FeralHeart\media\terrains\textures

meshes+Meshtextures and Materials. Go FeralHeart\media\objects\my_objects

The MasaiMaraObjects file goes FeralHeart\media\objects

if you have all these in the right place. Then there might be something wrong with the map itself. I'm not sure why it isnt working for you atm. I'll redownload it myself and check it out.

EDIT:Alaska has been cleaned and sorted out. I actually missed out a few things. Nothing that would stop the map from working all i missed out was a weather file and a few objects. I re-organised every object into its own file now so Hopefully they will show up now. And now the weather is working. Lol forgot to put it in.

*UPDATE* Maps Alaska and Kalahari Maps have been upgraded. Somethings werent showing up in both maps hopefully now that issue is fixed. Alaska should show its grass in certain parts and now the snow works. Kalahari's palm trees now show and a few other stuff that some how didnt show are now fixed.

Paradise is the next to be updated. Most likely will put the house back in and hopefully a few extra things with the upgrading like less rain. WolvesDen is practically perfect anyways but zuko said that she wants that upgraded too.

Also 2 new maps are being decided on. Me and zuko are trying to make a zoo map and a Japanese Garden. So keep your eyes peeled. Trying to get the zoo map perfect before sending it out. But none of them are near by done.

lizzie that pride is already listed in the green territory. Go on the front page and look under the picture of the map. You will see Prides underlined. Under it is the list of prides in the map.

ok everyone sorry i havent been on the thread the last 4 and a half days or so my net has been disconnected. But its back up now and Since Alaska and MasaiMara are already Updated to the new version of FH i'll have to do the rest. I'll probably get all the maps done by tonight. Sorry for the delay though.

Also, MasaiMara doesn't work. The game crashes whenever I try to load it. And yes, I am putting the files in the right place.

EDIT: All right, it seems to be working now. ^_^ Now to hunt for wildebeest!

lol that happened to me too but for the new FH patch. when i installed it the first time whenever i went to map maker it crashed with a overlay1.dll error. So i reinstalled it and it worked.

Well, I ended up reinstalling FH several times thinking that was the problem. Maybe one of those magically fixed it. *shrug* I'm just glad it's working now!

i made MasaiMara in IT it was also taken off real pictures of locations in MasaiMara. Everything in the map of MasaiMara is from the real location.

And Izzy if your wanting to join a pack or pride or something you have to actually find the packs

*Update* Finally JapaneseGarden is finally released. You can find it at the bottom of the page under the japaneseGarden area.

Alaska Packs have been updated, turns out people have been applying for pack territories with only themselves to claim it. If people want territories have more then 1 member. We need packs taking territories not 1 person. All the packs in alaska have been wiped from the list. 3 packs all had 1 member in each and the last pack i couldnt even find them ingame or on the forum. If you dont want the territories anymore in a certain map please pm me and tell me you dont want to claim it anymore. It means i can open slots up for other people.

MasaiMara Prides have been updated too. there was 4 prides. Naabi Pride,Mbali Dhahiri,The Enzi Pride and the Wajanja Pride. Naabi pride has be redone and rename to Masai Pride, it is 100% realistic. I've kept Mbali Dhahiri in their pride location because there active. However the other 2 got removed. They were inactive enough.

Claiming Pride/Pack territories just for the sake of it wont be allowed. People who do this are stopping people who want territories have a place. Theres no point in keeping packs/prides in locations they arent using im not having my maps be wasted like that.

@Luna yes you can use the MMleopardDen however since its made by me and zuko dont claim it as yours.

For the Prey animals and the croc you can use them without permission as the prey animals belong to kov and super from the game Impressive title and the croc was a free download that i got from the net.

@Enchanted: Ah that was a mistake. The old Map Pic used to have all pink rings. However i changed that and i forgot to edit the info underneath so Blue ring it is.

ive had a problem...with the map that starts with K (i cant spell it) ive installed it and when i jumped into the portal frealheart crashed and everytime i log in it crashes again and again...is there a was of fixing this that you know or a way of installing the map?

Kalahari map. The reason why it wont let you in the map is because its the older version. Since the newer version of FH you need the updated version of the maps. All of my maps except Kalahari are upgraded. i'm actually doing Kalahari now. Delete your Kalahari.fhz and the kalahari.map file that you installed. Hopefully now you will be able to get on FH.

same, i love the fact that you can just go over a hill and there could be a beautiful scene just in front of you. I keep forgetting how beautiful it looks until i go back and experience it all over again.

@hannah: The light blue ring is already taken. I dont edit the picture anymore because people kept becoming inactive and i had to change it 4 times in 1 day. i got tired of editing the pic so left the names out on the pic. The info on Packs that live there are below the picture

lol thanks. Hopefully i'll take a break for awhile. I was actually thinking about doing both Amethyst Mountain and Slough Creek on 2 separate maps. However i couldnt seem to get the greyscale right so i didnt make those. I also tried making a zoo map. However making more then 3 textures was awkward to do. on IT i could have more then 8 textures on a single map. But on FH it seems to be limited.

sorry mine isnt atm because my net will be out in less then a week. Since my parents cant afford it for awhile. Tell me what you guys think. I had started this map near the end of november. My Net was off so i decided to make a xmas map. The meshes that belong to me are the XmasCard,Presents,Snowman(Carrot,Cole, Scarf and StickArms.) The hat belongs to IT including the tree,tinsel and Candy cane. I had made my own tinsel. It was going to actually look fluffy like tinsel however when i tried it ingame it came out as a mesh only. However when i rendered it, it was fluffy.

Tell me what you guys think. Im also in need of ideas so im willing to hear what you think would make the map more xmas like. Im stuck with the water at the moment. I dont want running water i want Ice. However no matter what i do it stays white, so im still working on the ice. Im also in need of more pictures for Xmas cards. Im also trying to render a few different color lights for the balls on the tree. I want a glowy feel to it.

i know what you mean. Paradise for me is beautiful. I love the fact that you can get lost there but as you walk over a hill theres normally a beautiful scene right in front of you. Been so busy lately though that i've never gotten the chance to go to that map. But the next time im on Fh with my sister im dragging her there XD

@snowstripe: Since the packs havent been active at all in this map you can use any territory you want
there.

@Zack:Thanks.Mountain Valley is alittle to open with not many things to it but i guess its still on the
realistic side as many places are quite like it.

@meowool: I love MasaiMara, all the places there resemble some of the parts in the actual Masai Mara Place.
As for Africa thats actually been alittle redone. New textures and the outlands area has muddy water.
Including Some music to make it feel more TLK like.However for copyright reasons i dont want to make it
public. The last time i made a map like this public was back when Impressive Title was first out.
I got wrong off a Mod for placing a unrealistic version of TLK it only have a few places that resembled
the movie so because of that the link was removed. The only way to let people play it was to make it
private. The only people that are able to play africa are the people i can trust to not give out the
link or download.

Also just to tell people that another realistic Wolf Map is in the making. Its Called ValleySpring2. I've been making realistic wolf dens for the map. Only 2 has been made but im trying to design some more to add.Here is a pic of the dens

MasaiMara now has 2 seasons. Wet and Dry. There are a few new prey species added. Hippo,Rhino and Sheep. I've also edited the village there. The wet season is Green and theres plenty of food and water to go around, however like the name describes there will be alot of rain. The Dry Season is Dry and barren. Its harder for both Predator and prey to survive here. Even the wildebeest are starting their migration. I'll be posting new pictures on the thread so people can see what it looks like.

Update: I Edited Masai Mara Savannah Map. I had to redo some animal textures because they looked horrible. Added New meshes and Sounds to the map. Including African music.

Things new Added in:
Hippo Texture Redone
Rhino Texture Redone
Ostriches (Different Poses)
Ostrich Eggs+Nest.
New Elephant Models With Babies
Sheep Texture Redone
Crocodile Nest+Eggs.
Hyena's Added with 3 different Poses. (Lie Down, Standing, Defending)
Leopard Added
Animal Sounds: Hippo/Wildebeest/Elephant/Hyena Sounds
2 African Music to make it feel more Like Africa.

I was planning to add a Heat Distortion in the dry season. Heat Distortion would make the map seem hotter because of the heat waves. However if wasn't going to allow me to add it so i left it out.

i dont have the meshes in a single download the meshes are only located with the full map file. The only way for me to get them is to find my full version of MasaiMara and then find all the files that are needed to make the meshes show up. Then ontop of that i'd probably have to write out some instructions to help people install the meshes properly. But i really dont have the time to do all that. Most of my free time lately is done by making my own animal meshes,texturing them,rigging them and then animating them. Then every so often when i feel like i need a break i might go on Sanctum of Eventide or Feral Heart.

*Bad News*Ok so i've decided to take down some maps for awhile were rushed and need time to be revamped. I want them to look naturally realistic as possible so they won't be up until i decide to re-do them.

*Good News* I've re-done Alaska. It has realistic dens now as well as no grass what so ever. Since its a tundra like place it was supposed to be all snow anyways. Around the dens are more fancy and realistic too. As well as my very own first tree XD. I'll have to re-do the video though. I'm hopefully going to update both the thread and youtube so that people can see the new alaska before playing.

Hey. I was wondering where you guys got the glacier in the Alaska map from or if you guys made it? May I use it in my map and do have a link to the download of the glacier? I'll credit whoever made it. Thanks.

There isn't any glacier's in this map. All the meshes that you've not seen before belong to me and zukorocks!. Anything that comes close to a glacier is the ice floats. The meshes aren't for download in this map as i actually don't have them anymore. They've been exported into the map themselves and there's no way i can retrieve them.

Oh. That's ok. I actually already figured out how to make my own glaciers. Thanks anyway though.
