As the title says, I'm making custom weathers^^
Coloured skies, custom weather particles, the perfect weather cycle for your map: get one now!
Yes I know, skies are easy to make, but it's fun for me and if you don't want to do it, I can do it too^^
Before you ask:
A weather cycle is a script that sets different weathers for a map on time. So you can exactly plan the weather in your map for the next twenty hours or more. The script starts when you enter the map (in map maker mode) or when you go online (multiplayer mode).

- When I made a weather for you, you may use it in every map you want;
- Don't edit the weather;
- Don't claim it that you made it.

Also how do u add the weather or sky u make in world tab that u made from sky maker, whenever i type it in it says cant be found :\. Lemme know if u can do the cherry blossom one :)

@Cal: Thanks^^ The fire ball rain was actually just a fast example I made for this, and it's a little crappy because the fireballs are just falling, amd not having any other direction...
@Missy: Requests are free, I don't know what I should charge for a weather, even if I wanted to do something like that. I'm gonna add your request into the slot list.
Do you want that weather lasting forever or more weathers? As I said, I can script a full weather cycle, it's not that hard for me.

starfall is beautiful. Do you have to download starfall or is it in the game already? Tried to put it in on the weather and floating white plates moved across the screen xD. When I go into the cycle though and put in starfall it shuts FH down and a message pops up saying it cant find the file starfall.

Starfall is already in the game, but there are missing some files that connect the particle to the system, I scripted them myself.

Sorry for delayed response, id love if it fell blossoms most of the time, and then like maybe rain sometimes, i was trying to make my sk and weather system work out that it rained anytime it got cloudy and most of the night rained with few breaks between, the breaks would be awsome as petals. Id have no clue on doing it so i leave my trust in u!

Would it be possible to have drifting fireflies? If not may I request leaves? Like rather green leaves blowing in the wind or fall leaves? And if it's alright could you make it public? c:

I dont have my own comp right now where all my FH files are on, but I already tried to make that petals weather. I copied one particle code from IT, but it didn't work, I have to try to change it. Might take some time, because I don't know anything about FH's particles^^

I would love most of the weather system to be night, Red moon or reddish orange, with black clouds and midnight blue sky(maybe lil lighter so u can see the clouds lol) If day time has to run then id like more of a reddish orange sun(or if a eclipse looking sun is possible but not mandatory), midnight blue clouds and a sunset like sky. Also thank you for asking, i forgot to tell u which i wanted ^^ nice to be reminded<3

Shooting stars are possible, but i cant set them to time (or maybe with some scripts I dont know yet). I already have an idea for a starry sky. Public or unpublic?

I would like to request auroran lights!
That is, if you can do them of course. I would like for it to be public. and hopefully I will be able to put it in my map XD
Can the lights be red purples and oranges, with a dark dark night sky with bright stars? It would be amazing if you could do that! (the sky I'm trying to put in has a colour sceme like these, but is nothing close, so it would be cool if I had a proper auroran light sky file for when I can get the sky in!)

I can make a grey round thing as texture and set a big color range. That would let every picture have a random color

You can't just download them, because I made them. If you want the volcano ashes in a map, you can request a weather cycle when I open requests again.

You can't just download it. The meteor shower isn't done yet, and because the ones who requested the weathers I think about just cleaning up the slotlist.

I got stuck on one, and since nobody seems to remember that they requested something I already thought about clearing the slots.

I still want my weather! I just keep losing track of all my posts, so when I think I've got the important ones out of the way I clear everything. I use the show new replies to your posts clicky thing, so once I mark things unread I forget about them...

I'll lower the number of slots to two (currently three but one will be removed when it gets free) because I can't work that much. The confetti rain doesn't like me right now, and if I have problems on the other requests too its easier me to work when I know there isn't that much left.
Also, tomorrow starts school again so I can only work on it in the evenings when I have all homework done etc.

Sure I know this particle, but they don't go ALL in the same direction in the same time. And I think it can be big... as the half of the firefly, maybe ? Or with smoke ? You see what is well (: But it's for a big area, yep ^^ And it isn't obligatory faster, the rapidity can be different ^^ Thanks ! <3

As you can see, there aren't any free slots c:
Also, in weather cycles you can't set 'day' or 'night', there are just time units that are too long for seconds, but too short for minutes. Idk how many of these time units a day or a night lasts :/

You can postpone it if you wish, I'm in no hurry really. The map isn't anything special, more like a art project based off a song. I've been a little stuck with the map any way, so it doesn't matter too much if it takes a while, if you need a break from it you can do so, do other weathers before mine if it's holding up the line.

I want to try making my own weathers such as the starfall weather, which I think you would get from IT? I'm not sure x3 I was wondering if you could give m some advice on either converting weathers or making them from scratch, if you don't have the time then that's perfectly fine but if you can help me I would be very gratefull ^^

Starfall is already on FH, and nothing changed with particles (they are a part of the ogre rendering engine, not the game itself), so there is no need to convert anything d:
You just need to load the particle.
Making particles is pretty complicated, there are many functions, and sometimes I don't really understand what they do, and I don't know if I can explain it, sorry.

In the particle maker I presume x3 Come to think of it, and I understand that this is quite a cheeky thing to ask, but do you think I could use the starfall weather file you have? I won't ask for any of the others as you made those yourself, and if you don't want to then its perfectly fine, I understand completley, thanks for the help nonetheless and keep up the great work ^^

To make a weather of it you have to load it in sky maker, second tab. In the lower half you find a box, type Weather/Starfall.

Hope this isn't too much to ask, but may I use the fireflies? I'm asking because, even though it says it's free for weather cycles, I don't see any download links at all. I'd just need the weather file itself, I can handle the actual creation of the cycle :3

There are no downloads, because I don't want everyone to download stuff in a few seconds I spent hours on. Also I almost shut this thread down, because I don't have enough time for it... it just takes forever to create a weather that does exactly what you want.
'free for weather cycles' means that you can request a weather cycle with that weather in. My starry rain for example is not free, because it's my own weather that gives one of my private maps its special touch.
If you want, I can send you the download link for the fireflies via pm. I won't post the link here.

The first ones are imported from IT, yes. The other ones, like the star rain and confetti are done by me and such stuff takes forever.

it shouldnt take forever xD i made lava rain and it took a few seconds o.O all u haz to do is change the the .png file (which is in the material file) to whatever image you want, and viola! Lol

I usually make a new material and texture first (doesn't take long) and then I change direction, speed, colour range, add effects and other stuffs. You can also put different particles into one script, I never tried that though.
Take the confetti rain for example, it has a grey texture, but in the outcome every piece has a different colour. Also it falls as if someone was throwing it (small break, then lots of confetti, then another break and so on). Script something like that in a few seconds, then come back~

ahhhh i see. I just thought it the other way around because thats usually how i make particles, i never knew you could change how they move and pop like that, thats awesomeness :D. xD But you still did say some of the IT particles were "(Made by me)"

Oh, that one. Yes, the texture is from the original IT files and there also are several firefly particles, but if you just put that as a weather, you get crap, there are just about three really small fireflies floating around, you have to search the whole map to even find them. So I kept the texture and material, but edited the script.
