Game Help / Cant get the game started for my mac

i have successfully downloaded this game previously without any issues for my mac but i have unfortunately had to restart my computer meaning that everything was reset and uninstalled anyway i am trying to download it again and it is coming up with:
The Application X11 could not be opened An error occurred while starting the X11 server: "Failed to activate core devices."
Click Quit to quit X11. Click Report to see more details or send a report to Apple. please help, i am also wondering if this is happening to all mac users or just me
really would like to play the game again
