I have this same issue along with a few of my group members and it's with a map I created myself.  I've tried uninstalling then re-installing the game, re-exported the map files and I even edited the map and altered a few things to see if any of the small changes to the weather, sky, portals and other few things would make a difference, but I still receive the "Cannot connect to map server" message :/  I had this issue starting yesterday and for the most part of the day I couldn't log into any custom maps other than one only though I can't log into it again right now.

The Eclipse of Shadows is a realistic, literate and long term wolf pack roleplay in search of mature, active and committed rolplayers.  You will be required to be able to download maps and also fill out a joining application found on our pack website here:  http://eclipseofshadows.webs.com/interestedtojoin.htm
Everything you need to know about this pack can be found there on the web site and oh!  Before you begin filling out the application, READ or at least skim the Rules and Ranking System before filling out the form please, I cannot stress this enough.  It really helps make things a bit easier not only for me, but for you as well.  After your form is looked over, you will be notified if you are permitted to join the pack.  If you have any questions, feel free to post them here and I'll answer them as soon as I can.


Below are some screenshots of our territory.  Just a little note, a friend of mine took this shots and they have a star or sky mod.  So just know the sky in the pics won't appear on your screen unless you have the mod as well haha.

Well I did a bit more research and can probably say the issue simply has something to do with my computer whether it's the graphics cards or RAM. Just gonna have to live with the texture since I have no money to buy a better card or more RAM and like hell my folks will buy either one just so I can play an online game XP Thanks for the help though everyone.

@Zaephyr: Yes I have and it doesn't seem to do the trick.

@ Galiou: On another related forum, Red did mention an update on graphics card, though my computer says it's up to date along with it's manufacturer site saying it's updated. My computer is a Windows Vista by the way if that info helps some and it was purchased in '06 I think.
