In all the years since Feral Heart has been online the site staff have held a wide variety of fun events and contests. Although some are no longer celebrated due to various reasons here are some of those wonderful events & contests from past and present:

- Preset contests

- Site Banner contests

- Signature contests

- Favorite character contests

- FH related video contests

- FH related art contests

- Halloween Party event

- Treasure hunts in event maps

Etc...

Of these and those not mentioned what are your favorite official Feral Heart contests or events and why?

Are there events or contests you've participated with in the past? Are there any you'd like to participate in?

Are there contests or events you'd like to see more of? What are your favorite things about any of these events or contests?

Feel free to share here.

Game Discussion / What If Series: Forum/Site stats were visible in game
« on: August 08, 2014, 02:37:57 pm »
As the title states what if your forum stats were visible in game?

Say you're an active member on the forum and you gain the title of "Dedicated Member" what if your forum/site rank appeared in game?
Or if you became the Member of the Season and your in game username tag glowed a bright green? Perhaps there'd be a tiny icon beside your username that others could click to see some of your site stats like contest awards etc.

If this was possible what effect do you think it would have on the Feral Heart Community? Positive & or negative. Do you think it would encourage more users to become activite on site?

Share your opinions here.

Game Discussion / Your relationship with RPing on FH
« on: August 08, 2014, 02:10:22 pm »
The question is did you know how to roleplay before you joined Feral Heart? If yes did you join it with the intention of roleplaying? Where did you originally roleplay before Feral Heart?

Or did you learn how to roleplay once you joined? Did you know what roleplaying was? How was your first experience and what or who did you roleplay as?

How much have your roleplaying skills changed or improved since you first start?

How often do you roleplay now if ever?

Forum Discussion / Repetitive answers on help threads

Repetitive answers under help threads

For quite some time now I as well as some other users have noticed and been bothered by the constant repetitive answers being posted in help threads.

What do I mean by this?

Basically a user starts a thread asking a question and another user answers under it about ways that they can fix their problem. That's fine and great but then minutes/hours later a few different users post under the same thread often suggesting the same exact thing(s) that the previous user suggested. Often times these other users will simply rephrase the answer of the previous poster.

Now... Why is this bothersome?

1.) It looks rude to the person who first suggested something.

When users simply repeat the suggestion already made previously by someone it seems as though you aren't being considerate to this other person's post. It's as if they didn't even say anything.

2.) It looks as if you're not even taking the time to read through other replies before replying yourself. If you've read through the replies well enough you'd have no reason to repeat something already stated.

3.) It looks as if you're just after lifting your post count since you're needlessly repeating something that has already been stated.

4.) You're unnecessarily rebumping a thread with a repetitive answer.

Now... I understand that some people are genuinely trying to be helpful but repeating answers doesn't really help anyone. My suggestion is that users perhaps elaborate on a previously stated answer rather then simply repeating and reposting it. By elaborating I mean like this:

Question: User asks a question about how to get a stuck character out of a map.

User 1 answers: Use the character reset.

Users 1's answer is vague so user 2 says...

User 2: As User 1 stated use the character reset option at the top right of the site in the gold box. (Insert screenshot here).

In this case it is understandable to "repeat" an answer since the next user is simply elaborating on what was previously stated. By elaborating on the answer you'll be helping this confused user rather than just restating the same answer over and over again.

Other things that can be done is to state other relevant solutions that previous posters haven't already suggested. Remember that the goal here is to help others for the sake of helping so I'm asking kindly that some of you read through this thread and consider what has been said next time you decide to post.

This thread isn't to point out any particular users nor to start a rant so please keep any responses appropriate and mature. This also does not mean that next time anyone sees a user doing this that they're allowed to point them out or attack them over it. This is merely an observation & suggestion thread.

Praise / Happy Birthday to a Tangerine butted jaguar
« on: July 26, 2014, 10:02:50 pm »
Happy Birthday to my beloved Bakubutt/Feareh tangerine butt baboon <3!

-Bursts out from the tangerine cake- I would normally say so much inappropriate stuff here but yeah that's not good on FH lol I'll leave the rest for Facebook or DeviantArt lmao

There's so many things I want to tell you... Honestly how to begin. You have been one of my closest friends on FH if not the closest. Sometime I feel like you're my long lost sister and the best friend I wish I had all my life. You're probably one of the few people I've ever met that tolerates my derpy ways but also enjoys to just let go and act like a dork with me xD I love that about you. You're such a free spirit and just down right sweet, funny, and loveable person. I feel lucky to have made a friend like you in such an unlikely place. You've always been so supportive of me and you've always known how to make me smile even on my rough days. I can genuinely say that when your name pops up as online on my friendslist the inner child in me melts right out. Idk what it is about you but I think you're really awesome and I'm honored to have met you that day way back at N/Z. I hope to share many more derp times with you <3 Best wishes to you on your joyous day. I hope you have lots of junk food and love all around you hehehe

-sends you many hugs from Nyc-

I love ya buddy <3

Ps. Don't forget we need to keep up with our yoga ;D

Game Discussion / Funny &/or Random Bios
« on: July 19, 2014, 03:00:00 pm »
If you check peoples' bios in game often you've probably run into some pretty interesting character bios as well as some other strange and perhaps even funny things. Some people do not use their bios the way others typically do and often times you may find yourself reading something really odd, random, and funny. So the question is what are some of the most amusing bios you've seen in game? Feel free to post screenshots here of them. (Remember to keep it appropriate though)

The bottom part sort of amused me with this bio:

Maps / What are the Map boards for?
« on: July 16, 2014, 04:57:10 pm »
What is the Maps board for and what goes in each section?

The Maps board is composed of three individual sections

This is the board where users are encouraged to post their work in progress custom map related media and discussions. Any topics relating to custom maps from polls, opinions of particular map(s), general discussions, and work in progress maps go here.

The Map request board is where users can post threads with details of the kind of map(s) they are seeking for others to make for them. This is also the spot where map makers can open shop to accept in coming requests.

The Finished Maps board is where all and only completed maps may be featured. It is highly recommended that map threads submitted in this board contain not only the download link for the map(s) but also detailed screenshots of the map(s) themselves.

Here's another discussion similar to the What if Feral Heart was a survival based game one.

As the title states, what if Feral Heart had no chat box? Imagine if it was similar to the game called the The Endless Forest and the only way to communicate and socialize was by carefully utilizing emotes, sounds and body language. How would the lack of chat boxes effect the game? Do you think it would improve or disrupt the experience? How would it effect roleplaying? Would you still play the game? Thoughts? Ideas?

This question is basically inspired after a conversation I had with some friends back at home. If any movies, shows, game, comics/Manga's, books etc could be combined or crossed over each other to form a whole new interesting thing which would you like to see brought together.

Example:

Harry Potter & Lord of the Rings

DBZ & Naruto

Halo & Mass Effect
