Introduction / Name Change
« on: January 29, 2015, 02:06:17 am »
Not really sure if this is where this belongs, but I changed my forum name.

From now on, I shall be known as "Dr.Twisted".
This is pretty much from me necroing my old insane lab-cat fursona, Twist, and it also sounds a bit fancier.

So... yeah.

Leaving / Inactive for a while
« on: January 21, 2015, 07:14:23 pm »
Ah, where to begin...  :-\

Well, first up, I won't be very active for a while. My life's been really busy lately, between homework and studying.
So I shouldn't be popping up too often in game (I might have time occasionally, though). Of course, I'll be able to come on the forum or DA every one and a while, but other than that, I'll be almost completely inactive.

I guess I should be "back," by either Spring Break, or once my teachers start being merciful on the onslaught of midterms and quarterlies. Whichever comes first.

Well, that's pretty much it. I hope to see you all again once my school-life calms down a bit.
Until then, farewell for now.

Bahaha I love these guys.
They're probably one of my favorite bands... and I'm sure there're some other fans here too?
So, do you guys like MCR? I MUST FIND MY PEOPLE.

Game Discussion / Design Craze
« on: November 21, 2014, 08:58:55 pm »
I can't be the only one that does this.

So I make a new character. 5 Minutes later, I go back and edit that character. The next day, I give it a completely new design. After about a week, I change it's name. The end result: updating your preset's .fhp every other day.
And in the end, I just give up and delete the character.

Anyone else find themselves in this position?

Game Help / Adding custom meshes to maps?
« on: November 06, 2014, 09:21:00 pm »
I'd thought I wouldn't be posting here for a while now, but I must ask a somewhat noobish question:
How do I get downloaded meshes into map maker? I've downloaded a few cool looking meshes, but I have no idea where to put them. I looked around a bit in the tutorials board, but couldn't find anything.

It's probably a really obvious answer, but I'm oblivious at this point.

Media / Ah, Memories...
« on: November 03, 2014, 07:20:29 pm »
As I was browsing along Youtube, I noticed something familiar. I found an old video from my 7th grade class to say goodbye to one of our favorite teachers (he taugh Sign Language), who was moved to another school. My friend is awesome at ASL translations and stuff, so I figured I may as well show my fellow floofs what a bunch of nerdy 12 year olds can do. Anyway, if anyone wants to see it, click here.
I'm at 2:16... purple shirt, but I pop up a few other times throughout the video. x3
I look so horrible... I was such a little geek-looking thing back then.
Ok, I don't look much different now... but... yeah.

Game Discussion / Over-Literate?
« on: October 22, 2014, 06:21:11 pm »
"All my life, I've been dreamin', of a love that's right for me. And now I finally know her name and it's, sing with me kids, LITERACY!"
~The puppet guy in the gif... I couldn't find a captioned one. XD

Ah, the many literacy levels of roleplay. Illiterate, semi literate and literate. A good way to classify the roleplaying skill level required for a group. However, have you ever thought about how this could also be derogatory?

Ok, if you're illiterate, that's fine. Nothing wrong with that. But sometimes people flip out at the littlest things. I've seen people make beautiful posts, but get called illiterate from a few typos. Anyway, this isn't about illiteracy. It's more about how some people find their 10 posts to perform a simple action roleplays make them better than everyone else.

There's nothing wrong with being highly detailed and literate in your posts. It's just when people think that if you have only one or two posts at a time, you're illiterate.

Same thing with wolfspeak. I used to roleplay Warrior Cats on an old game, but someone came in and introduced new "anatomy." At first, it was fun, getting more descriptive and such, but it soon turned annoying. You couldn't understand people, and they got all stuck up about it. (NOTE: I'm not saying that wolfspeakers or literates are stuck up. I was referring to that one group.) If someone came up with a post even like this:
Thymepaw bounded along the trail, his paws skidding in excitement as he ran.
And would would be called "illiterate."

Once again, I have no problem with being highly literate. But it's just some people think their so smart because they have 10 posts just to describe them falling asleep, or they use words like cranium, empennage, banner, etc. instead of simple anatomy.

This is just something that gets me... I mean, post length and description has nothing to do with intelligence. If they have 437567 words in their post, good for them! No need for them to brag about it and label everyone else as a "noob" or "idiot."
It doesn't make people better than anyone else if they are super literate.

Sorry if this was a bit of a rant... anyway, I'm curious to hear others' opinions on this.

Forum Discussion / You And Your 'Sona
« on: October 14, 2014, 07:18:57 pm »
Ah, our fursonas. We love them. Sometimes, we love them a bit much.
Anyway, what do you and your 'sona have in common? Do you look alike? Do you have similar personalities? Do you share any other traits with them?

As for Nevica, she's pretty much me as a wolf. We have the same personalities (of course Nevica is a bit more wolfish... I would never hurt anyone unless they hurt me first XD), her fur color is pretty much my hair but lighter, and I have a few "scars" on my right shoulder from allergy tests that never went away. Of course, my eyes are brown, and I don't have a glass eye (although my right eye has HORRIBLE vision compared to my left), but nothing's exact, eh?

So what about you guys?

*Not sure if this thread is in the right location. If it isn't, feel free to move it. :3*
