'Sup, bro?  I just finished a new map.  This one took months to complete, and it's 100% meshes--no height map, terrain mask, or anything like that--just meshes!  I mean, how does one make a map like this using that sort of stuff?  It's a freakin' FLOATING ISLAND!  

Lag level?  It's actually less likely to crash you than the Cape of Distant Worlds.  NO CLUE why that is.  

Some pics:





The meshes I got from various sources, too many to list.  I bought the emerald.  Music from various Sonic games (Sonic 3 & Knuckles, Sonic R, Sonic Adventure, and Sonic Shuffle).  Certain sound effects and animal meshes ripped from Impressive Title.  

Map rules:
-RPing and packs are ENCOURAGED.  
-This map is based off of a location from the SONIC THE HEDGEHOG series.  Please respect this fact if you wish to RP.  
-Mating is allowed, but not out in the open or around other people.  
-Territory claiming is allowed for RP purposes.  However, if you choose to officially claim territory for your long-term RP, it must go through me first.  
-The Master Emerald shrine and the area around it cannot be claimed--however, if I am RPing as Knuckles and feel like being a hothead, or if you're trying to claim the area, I can chase you out.  
-You may swear to your heart's content, as long as it isn't directed at anybody.  After all, Sonic characters cuss.  
-Do NOT claim this map as your own.  
-Do not attempt to tamper with the files in this map.  
-When Knuckles is on vacation, BEWARE OF SHIRUBA.  
-Have fun

EDITED: Fixed sound--I forgot to include the birdsong!  

There is no version with fewer meshes, but to make up for that, this works perfectly on both FH and FH+, as long as you're using OpenGL.  

Oh, and whoever finds all seven Chaos Emeralds hidden throughout the map first gets to request my next big project!  Just PM me screenshot proof!

Why did you guys delete it?  Simba himself has complained, but nobody's replied yet, so I'm asking here on the forum.  Does one of the mods have something against FH+?  Not that I don't have anything against it, but what about the users that were watching for updates?  Please, undelete it!

Game Help / libstdc++-6.dll is causing trouble.....

Feral Heart has gone CRAZAH.  Suddenly, it crashes on startup.  I checked all my particles and everything.  But it still crashes.  This started happening soon after I transferred the Bonfire partical (which I just deleted) from FH+.  When I click for more information, it says that the fault module is "libstdc++-6.dll". 

Help?

Site/Forum Help / Banned on my iPod, but not on my computer? Whut?

On my iPod, it keeps saying I'm IP banned for no reason.  But on my computer, it doesn't.  But I have the same IP address on both!  What's going on????

I think I know why I may have been banned (I had mentioned that I am one of the buttswingin' furries, even though I said SPECIFICALLY that I'd never actually do it unless I had a reason to), but I made it clear that I was explaining why they do it to someone who had no clue.  And that post was deleted, reinforcing that belief.  But you'll also notice that I use my liking of animals mating to CATCH those rule-breakers.....

Other Mods/Creations / Feral Heart Plus mod: Wings in FH+

This here is probably the most complex mod in FH history.  And all it is is wings for FH+. 

This has been tested and proven to work on my own FH+ game.  Mine is no different from yours aside from other personal mods I made to some of the maps to allow access to normal FH maps as well, so it will probably work fine on yours, too. 

Please note that you do NOT need this for the original Feral Heart, as it already has wings.

Put this program file in the overlay2 folder.  It is found here:

Make sure it overwrites the charactercreate file already in there!

Game Suggestions & Ideas / More realistic flight!

This has been bugging me for a while now.  Flight in FH isn't very realistic at all.  The current animation for flight would be fine for staying in one place or going more slowly, but it's used no matter WHAT the player is doing.  And that just seems so.....unrealistic, like the character is possessed or something.  

So I've come up with an idea.  I diagramed it, too, but I'm planning on using animations done on MMD for showing that once I find a winged wolf PMD.  

First off, flight should be at least a little faster than running.  Also, at normal speed, it would look less akward if the wing flaps weren't so.....slow and unrealistic.  At top speed, the character should LOOK like he or she is flying, head craned foreward, wings beating.....it's hard to explain without a video.  I'll make one soon.  

Second, I have a cool idea: diving.  The character would partially fold his or her (lets go with his) wings and get in a superman-ish position, diving down at a 45 degree angle, gliding just above the ground or water when he gets down there until you toggle the flight off.  And, just because it's awesome, if he hits a vertical wall (collision box or otherwise), there's a distinct "bonk" and he drops to the ground.  Man, I'd lol if I saw that happen to somebody.  

Third, the spacebar doesn't do anything when you're flying, right?  How 'bout making you dash upwards?  Like, the opposite of dive.  This doesn't even need much explaining, just a powerful beat of the character's wings and he dashes upwards.  

Fourth, it'd be REALLY cool if you could add in a foreward dash--about the same animation as upward, but forewards enstead with the same effect when you hit a wall as if you dive into a wall.  

Fifth, rise and fall need a bit more realisticness to them--while not moving in any direction rising and falling needs no extra animation.  However, when moving forewards, when rising, the player should tilt upwards, and downwards when falling.  Please remember that this is still mid-flight I'm talking about.  

Finally, a few tricks like doing a loop or twirling in midair would be great, but optional.  

What do you think?

Game Help / Weird Hightmap in Watermill?

I opened up FH today just to find that Watermill was more messed up than usual.  At first, I was just like, "Whatever, I'll go fix it."  When I went to fix it in map maker, it had this weird terrain that looked like somebody had taken The Wastes and chewed on it.  I went into my folders to figure out what was going on, but the terrain hightmap was normal in my folders.  What's going on?  I've gone through all my files, even my Impressive Title folder, and I can't find anything that could be messing it up--not even the hightmap picture that it suddenly had!  Help!

Game Help / Can't change/reset home - Help?

I'm stuck with that black screen in FH+ unless I test, but I don't want to just play by testing.  Whenever I try to change my home, it won't let me type the name.  Reseting doesn't change it.  Please help!
