Discussion Board / Hey art, how do you do?

Some people love art because it explains their feelings and shows their emotions, some people love art because it's basically fun and worthwhile to do, and some people love art because they just love it. So now it's your turn to explain why you do it, and how you do it! This is a discussion thread dedicated to all those people that love to be creative and have fun with their designs :3 'Art' here applies to video & photo editing, drawing, and just outright creativeness.

Questions you might want to answer
- What programs and editors do you use?
- What is your style like? (feel free to share a spoiler!)
- Do you prefer drawing animals over humans?
- Do you use art to spend time away from reality?
- Are your designs based on music?
- Cartoons or realism?
- Do yew have a drawing tablet?

Site/Forum Help / 'Password incorrect' bug

This isn't really a help thread, but do you know when you access the forum and there is this little log-in box where you put in your username and password and whatever? Whenever I put my password in, it seems to always be incorrect, and it loads to the full-sized login page. 'Password incorrect.' When I log in from there it's fine. It's not really important, but is this a bug or is it only happening to me? As I said, it's not very important but I just wanted to inform you of this issue.

I know I've just come back on this /new/ account, but since then my IP address was hacked and now is temporarily broken, therefore I can no longer play in-game. I've decided to start new again, because the title Friskey and TechieDelay don't suit me anymore. This means new deviantART, new characters, new style, new skypies, etc. You may call this way of mine stupid and unnecessary, but I want to keep it this way. It's a bit strange of me that when I change my style, I need a new everything. A new favorite song, a new title, a reorganized desktop and room..

Until I find out if my IP is temporarily broken or permanently broken, I will wait out my time in a new account of all things. I'll be deactivating here whenever I get the chance of an open registration. So, to explain better, you will see me around the forum sometimes, but when I find the registration boat, I will deactivateee.

Art Gallery / Friskey's Arties

I decided to split my gallery into two threads, one for photography and then one for art. It just seemed to be more clean. My other gallery thread will contain plain photography, while this one holds traditional art, editorial designs, graphics, or whatever else you want to have, let's say. I just want to get it out there that I don't want people tracing, copying, or using my art without written permission. It's just rude not to. Thanks guuyss!
PS: This is kind of a WIP so there won't be too much stuff.

You won't see me drawing digitally often (unless I draw it out on paper and then trace it) since I have no tablet and absolutely no talent in drawing with a mouse. So until I get a tablet whenever I get a tablet, this thread will /hopefully/ be overflowing with traditional drawings, edits, and colored linearts. Maybe. I said maybe ;u; This is my main gallery thread on the Official FeralHeart Forum Boards. If you want to view my photography thread or view my other galleries, look at the 'Links' section below.

I don't know if photography belongs here or is allowed here, so if it's not, please tell me. It's just that I haven't seen many photography threads around here, and I thought it might be nice. I hope you like what is to come, although it will probably only be of animals and nature, maybe containing other little things. I only really started this in the last two months, and most of them will be edited/tweaked a bit to look better. Anyways, here goes nothing! They might be a little big, but yeah. They might have a tagline too. (Sorry, I'm not very descriptive x3)

Game Discussion / The Rant

Alright. Random title. Since it's nearly Christmas, let's call it the Christmas Rant. Okay, wait, no. This has nothing to do with Christmas. This will most likely be my longest, first and possibly last rant. I will explain my theories of most wrong happenings here on the game, and the not-so-possible solutions. I agree that FeralHeart is a fun place with nice graphics and a loving, helpful community, but hey, there are always the trolls that mess around and ruin it. There is a few annoyances and bugs here, but that's not my problem right now. It's the people. You don't have to read on, since it might be long, and you could get unintentionally offended.

This thread is not directed towards any certain individual. Thank yew.

Nobody's perfect, and there are usually cruel people everywhere. It's a cruel world most of the time, you know. People judge and ruin other peoples fun just for the sake of it. I'm sure most of you people would agree that this is wrong. Either way, there are people that help others, behave mannerly, and contribute to the well being of the communities they are attached too. I will briefly /not/ explain some problems around here.

Creativity: What happened?

First, what's wrong with neons or bright characters? Nothing. Usually when people see a neon character, they instantly think that they are stupid illiterates. People also say that they are unrealistic brats. It is completely wrong. Many would say that realistic colors mean brown, black, white, beige, or any color that you would normally see on a canine or feline. I have made the mistake of calling that realistic too, but I've never ran up to someone and shouted: ''Oooh! u unrlistic neon! ur so stupid hahahaaaa!!11!!!1'' So, let me explain. Realistic may be brown or black, but that's not all. Blue is realistic - it's the color of the sky. The sky is realistic, isn't it? Green is too - like the grass. Shades of yellow? The sun. Orange, red, or purple? The color of many different kinds of butterflies or flowers. Everything I've just said is realistic - it has somewhere it belongs. Nature. Nature is realistic. Of course, you wouldn't have a 'realistic' purple lion or a green wolf, but what if it's an Original Character? Second, I've seen many cases where people use wolf/lion models to make different creatures, whether it be humans or horses. What's wrong with that? Be creative! This game only has two models - make good use of them. Don't ruin others feelings towards being unique.

Think before you speak.

Don't run up to someone and suddenly blurt out that they are idiots! That's what I see most people do nowadays. It's called cyber-bullying. If someone is mean to you, don't react harshly. Calmly ask them to stop - and if they don't, there is always the Report and Block buttons. A harsh reaction only builds up more anger - and then things get ugly. If someone annoys you to the brink of insanity, button it. You could really hurt the other person's feelings, and then you'll also be in the wrong. If people thought before they spoke, it would be a completely different world!

Sorry if I seemed to offend anyone - and it's not really that long, I don't want to blurt my whole story out. But anyways, what are your thoughts on this?

Animal & Non Human Roleplays / One Last Time (Street Dog RP: Bomber II)

The workhouse in World War II is a cruel and lonely place as the French & German bombs begin to fall. The heavy drones of the planes are frightening and the wail of the air-raid sirens are even worse. From the underground shelters you can hear the whistle of the bombs as they fall and the explosions as they destroy innocent lives. Dogs are fighting everywhere; and the ones in workhouse cages are almost rotting to their bones. People are running and shrieking as homes are brought destruction; tearing families apart. There is nowhere to run.

You can't trust anyone anymore.
Not even your own family.

One Last Time is a semi-literate and semi-realistic street dog roleplay based in World War II, thus the name Bomber II. We are brand new and hope to enjoy our time here, while the roleplay is still running, and gain many friends and members. You should be able to tell the plot from the opening paragraph, and you probably had made your decision from there. We will soon move in-game around January, and we have a website/forum in the making. We hope to stay active!

I'm 98% sure this isn't possible. Without the source code, at least.
So do you know when you're in map maker and all that; and the default character is a brownish lioness? Is there any way to change that little minion? cx

Forum Suggestions & Ideas / Regards the registration (I wouldn't normally bother)

I don't really know how or why I decided to post this kind of derp, but I have a little idea regarding the registrations. Now I wouldn't normally bother, and I know it will never happen, but it's worth a try, right? You don't have to carry on reading if you don't want to. This is regards to the account registration.

So what if there was a time when the registration would be open all day - since people are going here and there and over their heads complaining that the registration is never open. Other cases would be complaining that the registration closes as soon as they found it open because they've probably entered at the time right before it randomly closed. (I've noticed that it opens early in the morning and late at night, and usually for two hours?)

Maybe if it was open for a day then people wouldn't really have an excuse. Probably one day a week; with the moderators setting the day or it opening at random. And to solve the problem regarding people that spread the word and then they all know which day it's open and then joining, lagging the servers and blah: don't post or tell anyone when it is open; let them find out themselves.

Ex, week one: Open Monday
Ex, week two: Open Friday

So it opens randomly completely unexpected. Ugh. I don't know how to explain.
But here you go.
