Hello, my name is Lilac, but I am more commonly known as Athena, the Ajrin(Or Alpha) of my pack.
About Us
Shepard Streets is a mapped, in game rp group. We are literate, realistic, long-term, active, and will soon be accepting wolves, cats, foxes, and german shepherds. We also have a website, www.shepardstreets.webs.com. Feel free to check it out! It has all of our ranks, which you can choose from as long as it doesn't say locked. If you have any other animals you believe would be good for this group, tell me! I don't mind taking some suggestions. We aren't desperate for members, just looking to expand our count.

The Maps
Yes, that's right, I said maps! We will have three maps in total, but we might be getting more later. OUr maps currently contain a City(ShepardCity), a Small Park map(ShepardCityPark, and a Wood(ShepardWood). Again, we might get more maps. They are due on the 9th of this month.
Our History
Yes, I decided to put up some boring history section. If you don't want to read it, skip it, I don't mind.
Shepard Streets was started as an all german shepherd group, until my members convinced me to allow foxes. At first I was hesitant, then I allowed all realistic foxes. Another member convinced me, after about thirty minutes, to let her be a cat. Wolves was suggested by another member, and I liked the idea. Then, the map link was erased, and we couldn't find it. So I decided to make some maps for my pack. And that is where we are now.

Okay, if you would like to join, please fill this out.

Stories / Forever Fire (Prologue)
« on: May 16, 2012, 03:33:02 pm »

Prologue
A dark form sprinted across the rough terrain, her hair blown back, and her hand clutched in a tight fist around the last hope. In her hand, she carried the future fate of Icarse, in her hand, she carried the Forever Fire. She sprinted harder now, her destination coming closer and closer with every stride. She could hear the sounds of arrows whizzing past, and horses galloping after her. All she could do was pray that she made it before she was killed. As she saw that the horses were gaining on her, she found her escape. Aiming for it and sprinting harder than ever before, she leaped over the ravine. Her earlier pray went unanswered. Mid-air, the last arrow was fired, hitting her back. She landed on the other side, unable to stand. Seeing the horses leap safely over and coming at her, she used the last of her strength to lean over to her side, and throw the Forever Fire down the ravine. Then, she leaned her head back, and prepared herself for death, knowing that there was nothing else she could do.

Forest of Old
Autumn leaves the forest of old,
leaving them so dark and cold,
animals walk o're and away,
they will not come back today,
caught in winter's frozen hold,
it chills the forest's trees of old,
until that one fateful day,
when spring comes back to play.

Species-Quint
Quint is a large, deer-like species that roams in herds in Aker. They are hunted by both the Rishkat, and the Kavetsha species. Quints are larger than elephants, but smaller than houses. Male Quints, called a bull quint, is the only male in the herd, and is the defender of the entire herd. If any bull quints are born, they are either the future herd leader of the same herd, or will be of a different herd. Neither gender has a tail. Males are very large, and very bulky. Females are only a bit smaller, and a bit less bulky than males. Calves are born about the size of a normal wolf, they are very bulky though. They have the same mating and young seasons as Kavetshas and Rishkats.
Model: Canine
Markings Allowed: Dalmatian (Brown), None
Mane: No frontal, Back Elbow Rump
Add ons: Antlers (Regular for young bulls, and aged for old bulls)
Description: Tan pelt, sometimes spots, brown eyes, no tails, normal eyes, black noses, very large pit-bull-like ears.
Behavior: (Males) Aggressive towards hunting animals, will fight if need be, lead the cow quints at all times. (Females) They panic and bolt if startled, never fight, follow the bull quint.
Species: Cadeq
The cadeq is a rabbit-like species that acts as a prey animal in Aker. They are larger than a pup or kitten when first the pup/kit is first born, and they do not grow from that size. They are very small, and have to be caught in bunches for it to be a filling meal. Their pelts very from the seasons, white in winter, brown in spring and summer, and gray in fall. They have very stubby tails and no frontal mane. They have no mating or young seasons; they can mate and have young any time of the year.
Model: Feline
Markings Allowed: None, Any MM rabbit markings (Black, silver)
Mane: None Frontal, Back Elbow Rump
Add ons: None
Description: Main pelt changes with the seasons, markings are always silver or black, if they have any. Black noses, very thin and small, large, cat-like ears.
Behavior: They will bounce away if startled, and will not attack anything.
Species: Grahuit
The Grahuit is a fish-like animal that lives in the streams of Aker. When first born, they are very small, and they stay this size forever. They are small, and only skilled fishers are able to get them, but they make a surprisingly filling meal, despite their smallness and thinness. The have no defined mating or young seasons, but it is guessed that it is the same as the Kavetsha, Rishkat, and Quint.
Model: Feline
Markings Allowed: Smilodon, half dragon (Slightly Darker silver)
Mane: No frontal mane, Back Mane (Ridgeline)
Add ons: Spine (Optional)
Description: Silver, Ridged backs, no ears (Just make the ear size small and find some tiny ears), darkish silver markings, trailing tail. (Thick tail)
Behavior: Fast, darting movements, will swim away if scared.

If you would like to be one of the prey animals, fill this out.

Join the pack! Search Utimum Ignis Pack on FeralHeart. The map is coming soon!Species: Kavetsha
The Kevetsha is a canine species that lives in Aker. (Aker is a place that is usually covered in snow, except for spring and summer. In autumn, it snows, but nothing sticks.) They have ranks like any ordinary pack, but look nothing like one. All members of the species have sharp, or pitbull ears, but it is more common to see sharp ears. Although they have little or no tail, their fur grows thick, keeping them warm. They have powerful, musclular bodies, both males and females being able to take down a Quint. As a species, they have ears and eyes bigger than regular wolves. Both males and females have flame eyes, and it is rare, but not unheard of for some of them to have contracted slits. Their eye color can be anything, but it is more common to see females with blue eyes and males with green. Their pelts can range from dark-grey to white, but almost never brown. Their noses are always black, unless they are mature, in which female's noses turn pinkish. If they have a tail, the tip is the same color as their eyes. Their hair is also usually the same color as their eyes. Neither gender has markings on their tail, if they have one. An average Kavetsha can live to over 300 years old.

                                                                            Males
The males are large and bulky, usually wider than they are tall or long. All males have the back, elbow rump tuft. They have a larger muzzle, cheeks, nose, and forehead than a regular wolf. Males have no tails and usually can have the following markings: Hexes, Chest/Side/Shoulder Blaze, Fuego, Corgi (Face only) 1+2, socks [Rare], fading spots, helm [Rare],or backleg stripes. The markings are always dark, but can be any color. The most common are black and dark brown. If a male is ranked a hunter, they tend to develope longer bodies, and get a bit taller. Their ears also grow very long, and there eyes grow a bit larger and able to see well at night. Under their eyes, there is always a black mark, no matter what color markings they have.
                                                         Females
Females are less bulky and a bit smaller than males. All females have the elbow rump tuft. Some of them have the side mane, but not many. It is rare to see a Kavetsha with eyecover mane. There muzzles, cheeks, nose and forehead are only a bit larger than an ordinary wolf. Females have cat tails, or thin tails. It is rare for a female to ever not have a tail, or have a regular wolf tail. They can have the following markings: Glove, foot, points, Fairy Tale Guild [Extremely Rare] 1+2, mint, vapor, corgi (Full, Rare), racoon (Face only), toeless socks, squiggle (Face only), Lat Stripe, tiger (Face only), or half muzzle. Female markings are mostly dark colors, but can sometimes, rarely, be white. If a female is ranked a hunter, they tend to become just a bit longer and taller, and lose a bit of wieght. Their ears and eyes grow exactly like the males. Over their eyes, there is always a black mark, no matter what color markings they have.

                                                                             Enemies and Food
They are the enemies of the Rishkats, large saber like animals that roam Aker. They hunt prey such as the Cadeq, a small rabbit like animal, grahuit, a  fish like animal that lives in the streams, and Quint, a large, deer like animal that lives in herds. The Rishkats and the Kavetshas both hunt the same animals, so first come first served.
                                                                            Pack Life
The Kavetsha's home is in a den on a corner of grass. The corner of grass, known as Ultimum Fides, translated to Final Faith. It is called this because it is the only place that shelters from the cold for miles on end. If Untimum Fides wasn't there, many Kavetshas would have died in traveling across Aker. There are two places like this, but the Kavetshas chose this one because they believed it to be larger than the other. They are ranked due to skills that they are born with. Each Kavetsha is loyal to the group, betrayal is not common. Not many Kavetshas are shy, but there are some that are.
                                                                                  Pups
When a pup is born, it is amazingly small. Extremely small. They are smaller than an adult male's head when they are first born, but they grow up fast. While they are very young, pups are vounerable to older apprentices stepping and crushing them. If a pup is born that is to weak, it is more likely to die. For this reason, weak pups are named after nine days, when they are stronger.
                             Mates ect.
The mating season starts in the spring, and pups are born in summer. Pups have the most chance of surviving when it's warmer than it will ever be. And giving them summer and autumn to grow, they are strong enough to survive by winter.
A male Kavetsha becomes mature at the age 8. When he searches for a mate, his markings grow brighter and lightly colored. He makes a howling bark sound that attracts females. This sound also attracts other males who do not have a mate, and are looking for one. If they find a female they believe is suitable, they will leave. But if both males want the same female, they will attack eachother. Whoever wins gets the girl.

A female Kavetsha becomes mature at the age 7 & 1/2. When they want a mate, they either answer the calls of a wanting male, or howl their own call. If two or more males are interested, the female can either choose who she wants, or let them fight and be mates with the winner.

I'll be making this a pack soon, so if you want to join please fill this out.
