Game Help / Re: Preset refuses to export, no error message

Oh, thank you so much! The advice you gave me worked. Will keep this in mind for possible future problems.

Problem seems to be solved, thank you again.

I think besides the truth that it easily hurts peoples' eyes it also might not be only because of the look.
you see, as far as my own experience goes, most people who make these characters give their characters Mary Sue or Gary Stu features. The colors easily match up with their ''magic powers'' or other elements such as this. It can also be considered as cliche, and some people including myself do not like these features that much. Maybe it is just overused by now?
On the other side, though, I don't see more reasons than the ones listed above for the hatred they get. I understand it is painful to look at especially if adjusting your screen's brightness doesn't help, but then there is of course the way to block them as well. Understanding it might not be the first option to come into mind if you want to roleplay with a person who has a neon character.
Everyone has their opinions. Some like sparkledogs, others don't.

Thank you for the idea. I tried it, but sadly it didn't help this time.
Could it by any chance be the fact I had to edit the file yesterday, or could it be something else? I take any ideas and try them with open arms now to see if I can get it to work.

So, game and computer restarting has been tried. Neither one worked.

Game Help / Preset refuses to export, no error message (solved)
« on: July 18, 2013, 10:41:20 am »
(Sorry if I posted this in the wrong place)

So, my problem is the following: Yesterday I used my whole day to make a preset. It shows up in the preset maker, no problem, but when I'm trying to export it nothing happens. Literally, nothing. I click the button but it acts as if I hadn't even glanced at it.
I have tried to look through the help section, but to my sight nothing like this showed up, only error message help. But like I described, with me there is no error message, no loading, no nothing.

I'd appreciate it if someone could help me out a bit with this and maybe even tell what I did wrong if that is the reason.
I did have to edit the material file in the preset folder in notepad because of the mane, but to my knowledge that is all I did.

Help is highly appreciated from anyone with even the slighest clue of what could make it work.

Game Discussion / Re: Should Age really matter? (opinions please)
« on: July 17, 2013, 11:46:57 am »
Honestly, to me the age is the same as if someone was from a different country or so. The age is the age, it is how many years a person has lived. It doesn't tell or effect the person's personality or actions. I do have friends up to the age of 20 and up and I personally do feel way more comfortable when chatting with a person who is mature and understanding. To me the age line of people I want to even blink to here has always been 13 and up. Usually the younger ones from that are trolls and not to say all, but most from my own experience, have been very immature towards others.
In my opinion it doesn't matter how old you are to play. Adults too like to play these games and should not be harassed for it. I personally (like stated before) like to chat with mature people and this game does really need them, just like any other game. People usually overreact because of what is said on the usual forum sites and the warnings they get from the news.
Where it feels bad to be called a pedophile and all that, if you get to actually talk to someone who is mature enough to understand you might even teach them new things, such as not all the older people in games being what they have always been warned about. Someone might even get a very good friend of a person who is older and who they meet here.

But then again, these are only some of my views and opinions on the subject. I'm not saying this was official and I know probably most people here won't agree with me. But hey, maybe someday this will be useful to someone, hopefully in a good way. (No harm intended)

uh, posers...the only reason why im afraid of using my chars anywhere...this may sound odd but i'm AFRAID of that if someone steals them. im worried about that if someone steals my Eviny called char's name and/or design, cause i did the effort on making her! same with Winy, who is my first char, and Naro, my alter. i also worry about that if someone steals their histories, that what makes them 'special' for me etc. im not saying that no one else is worried about these things to happen to their chars, or that no one else has made the effort when making their chars, but this is just what i think. i actually even thought for a while before making my chars in-game....
