All this "keep your computer up to date" business is sounding just like the deviantART submit page update. Not everyone can update their computers for various reasons(money constraints, the computer's age and compatibility with newer parts, etc.), so it's really not fair to say it. The fact remains that for one reason or another, movies simply will not work for some people, and the new lag levels will cripple their computers. Even mine(which was pretty manly when it was new a couple years ago) is having trouble nowadays. Bonfire was always a source of dismay in the lag department, but it's getting difficult to be anywhere near NZ or stonebridge too. To those who are doing fine with this update, fantastic. I'm happy for you. But you have to understand, not everyone will have your luck, and many members are going to have continuing issues no matter how well you might be doing.

Site/Forum Help / Re: Counter Problem?
« on: July 04, 2013, 12:33:11 am »
I've been getting the same issue, though I don't tend to look at the big counter at the top. The little counters for each map that appear on the side, however, have all been stuck on exactly the same thing for days now. I'm not sure what's causing it or how to solve it, but at least I know it's not something on my end now.

Game Discussion / Re: Should Age really matter? (opinions please)
« on: July 03, 2013, 05:14:19 am »
I myself am eighteen, and am usually the eldest in whatever group I join. Most of the people I know personally who play are between the ages of 16 and 20, but of course that's just my little niche of friends. The youngest person I ever met on here was seven(and boy, did they act like it), but of course I've met people several years younger than me who are just as mature as I am, with equal "literacy" skills.

As far as I'm concerned age isn't too important, as long as the person in question follows the rules and respects their fellow members & mods. This is a great place for meeting new friends of all ages, and I like that fact. Everyone's got their own little place where they fit in.

That being said, it is very sad when some members discriminate against others because of their age. If it's an issue of literacy, it may just be a matter of what people prefer to RP with. But when it's purely about age, and someone is rejected for being too young or old, that's really not so nice. Luckily I'm still within the average age bracket of FH players and I've never really encountered anyone like that. But it's only a matter of time... *spooky fingers*

Game Discussion / Re: Where are da horses

Daily or weekly trends seem to pop up in Bonfire all the time, this is probably more of the same. Just gotta get lucky and be on at the right time, I can guarantee there are still horse RPs around.

Game Discussion / Re: Ever Encountered a "Know-It-All"?

I haven't had anyone like that approach me, at least not in a long time, but I watch it happen all the time with the Bonfire TLK characters. There's always a neon version of someone insisting that the slightly less neon version is incorrect, and that they're the "official" one. So cute ^3^

Haha yeah it's pretty big, hopefully just big enough to seem formidable without being too taxing on the average computer XD

Game Discussion / Re: Do You Block?
« on: June 30, 2013, 04:42:46 am »
I usually don't block unless someone is really harassing me, and even then I'll usually unblock them a few hours later. I basically use it as a temporary shield until the person in question has calmed down. For the people who get to that stage, I would like to keep them on my list forever, but I report people a lot. I prefer to send proof of any inappropriate behaviour to a mod and let them decide what should be done, and leave the person visible to me so I have a better chance of catching them in the act in the future. I'm like the Batman of FH, but with a far girlier voice and less body armour.

Game Discussion / Re: Some are just, too literate?
« on: June 29, 2013, 02:44:08 am »
Ooooh, how I hate wolfspeakers. You needn't worry about those guys, they just use big, often made-up words to try and sound fancy. And the words that aren't made-up, most of the time are being used completely out of their actual context, just because it "sounds cool".
So yeah, don't pay any attention to them, they're no more literate than anyone else. XD

Thanks for the response White. Though I definitely want General back, I think I can happily hang back for a while since I'm pretty sure I've said everything else I want to say. I can spend a bit more time OOC or with more on-the-spot RPs for a little bit I suppose. Good luck to ya floofs!

Ahem. *quietly raises paw* this isn't me accusing anyone or even talking about how life is right now on FH, just one little request.
May we please have an end date to this test? If it's going to purely be a matter of waiting until you have the results you need and you can't give an exact date, then that's fine too of course. But if it is possible, I think it would be very helpful to everyone involved if we could perhaps have an estimated time of when the test will end, a date that we can spread around to people and let them know when they'll have Gen back, especially the people who really miss it. Not demanding anything else here, not pointing fingers, just wondering what sort of time frame we're dealing with.
I offer you this plate of cookies as a token of peace.
