Other Mods/Creations / Items and Markings (Mass)
« on: June 10, 2016, 03:34:53 am »
I wasn't quite sure where I could put these two links in one post so I put it here. These are the mass marking links and the Item links for those who need them. This leads to Deviantart and one leads to mediafire.

Game Discussion / A message about the new update.
« on: June 10, 2016, 02:22:56 am »
Hello everyone, as you know Feral Heart just went though a big update and a lot of things have changed. I have noticed that there are people who are unhappy with the update and I just wanted to explain a few things. People often have a hard time transitioning into something new, if this is how Feral Heart was originally and we changed to the old way, people would be reacting in the same manner. Change is a difficult thing to grasp, especially for something that has been the same for several years, but even if change can be scary it doesn't necessarily mean it is a bad thing. It is true that there will be some bugs and glitches that need to be worked through because it is just starting out, but we had the same issue back with Flourite plains in the beginning when people would constantly have to reset their characters there when they crashed. We also had plenty of major crashes throughout the time that feral heart has existed but the staff has worked hard to make sure that we are able to still play this game. You have to remember that the original creator is no longer here, it could of just ended when he left, but no, the staff decided they wanted to keep feral heart going for all of the players who enjoy it, and they did a pretty darn good job of it despite the issues. This is a free game as well, which means staff aren't paid, they did everything they've done for free and managing a site and game is far from easy.

The maps have gotten smaller that is true, but because of this they also run faster.
The places have changed, but things do need to change in order for progress to be made. If everything stayed the same then people would become bored of the game and certain issues would never be fixed.
There is a lot more on the maps now, including an awesome underwater map.

I know it can be hard to accept change, but I feel that this update is worth it. We just need to stick to it and let ourselves get used to it. Eventually those who hate it might end up liking it a lot better as time goes on. So everyone please just give it a try, a lot of work was put into these and it is impossible to please everyone.

And now I would like to thank everyone who has worked on this update and for everything they have done involving the site and entire game from the start. Thank you, Feral Heart is a great game and even if it changes I'm glad it exists because it holds many precious memories to me and there aren't many free role play games like this.

Whenever I'm creating a character I'm stuck with the difficult choice of what markings to use, and always in the back of my mind I begin thinking. If I use normal markings do people doubt my literacy? I know this shouldn't be connected, but people have often been associating the normal markings for those who have just recently joined or are younger. I wont let it effect what I choose my characters to look like, I'm just curious about what other people think about those who use just mass markings, just normal markings, or a mix for their character? Do people really think about it, or see it as a sign of noobishness or literacy?

Also, what do you think about people/characters without markings?

Game Discussion / Re: Old Cringey Characters
« on: June 08, 2016, 05:43:19 am »
I had a cringe character a long time ago, he was a blue wolf with green eyes and a black mane. He looked like a blueberry and some people called him a smurf. (Not a fan of smurfs xD) This character was important to me because it got me into my first big role play, which then set in action a series of....well I'll be blunt, dramatic events that eventually lead me to being a better role player and meeting my best friend. xD

To be honest I would be really sad. I've made a lot of memories on this game and it affected my life in so many ways. Feral Heart feels like a family to me in the fact that even if I leave it for a while, I can always come back. It has helped me through hardships and I've become a more creative person due to it. Yes I would probably play other games that are similar to it, but it just wouldn't be the same. Feral Heart holds a special place in my heart.

Forum Discussion / Re: Go-To Colors?
« on: June 08, 2016, 05:24:41 am »
I generally keep the font and color the same, it's easier for me to read if I go back to it. I'm not really sure why it's easier for me to read, but I tend to have some issues reading certain shades of colors. Also, I don't really like to mess around with the color or anything because I have trouble enough typing with the fact my laptop tends to zoom in a lot or zoom out when I'm trying to type, so I try to type what I want to type as fast as I possibly can. xD

Forum Discussion / Re: Hug a Player?
« on: June 08, 2016, 05:17:31 am »
I'm not really sure to be honest, I wouldn't really like to limit my hugs to just one player. But I'll bring up the player I've hugged on several occasions. I would hug Hakumi, mainly because Hakumi's my best friend. xD

Forum Discussion / Re: My Thought's On Help Threads
« on: June 08, 2016, 05:12:07 am »
I understand the feeling, I would prefer if the titles would be more detailed but unfortunately there's not really anything we can do about it. Just saying "Help" is something that people will often do in order to get others to look at it even if it's something they didn't want to look at. I feel like it's partially a type of clickbait, I also feel like it comes from not knowing how to explain the issue properly in the title.

Forum Discussion / Re: Where Did You Get Your Forum/Username?
« on: June 08, 2016, 05:00:35 am »
My username actually came from a username I used for a fanfiction website, but originally I made it to sound cool and because it involved things I enjoy. Which is well...Dark and lusty humor. Of course, despite the name I'm not actually a very dark person all of the time, I like to say I'm a rainbow of personalities because I'm not really consistent. xD

Oh yeah, I noticed that and I couldn't help but double check and then chuckle a bit about it. xD
