I go through headphones really quickly. My mom actually found this pair of Hunger Games headphones (I'm not that obsessed) and they broke in less than a day. :/

I don't know why, but I find that gory animated Japanese films are more disturbing than normal gory films.

I agree. I've always found that animated blood and gore in general is creepier than live-action, simply because one typically associates animation with 'kiddie shows', so to see a 'kiddie show' spewing gore all over the screen is grotesque and therefore creepy.
As for Wolf's Rain, it's a decent show, but not my favorite. I found oftentimes that it sacrificed character development and a coherent story for pretty art and bishonen fanservice for the ladies. But that's just my opinion, and my opinion is not fact.Death Note! Hell yes!
