Uzimati~ aka Uzi
Uzi had never been on his own longer than a hunt's length of time, and even then his sisters were always in close proximity. Now only a mile from his cub-hood home he felt very lonely and afraid, though knew if he ever wanted to truly be happy again he would need to support himself and settle down among a new family made entirely of friends. He sauntered along a path which curved along the edge of a human road, though the tall sharp grasses which looked golden alongside his darkly tanned pelt, ensured that he did not quite blend in. He drug his paws heavily, the sun beating down on him, making him finally realize that travel during the day in the noon-sun was not ideal, though shade seemed foreign and out of place in his current setting. He halted and squinted his eyes scanning the area on all sides, not even the wind moved the grass, aside from what he imagined was a sizzle of his own skin under the sun, everything was motionless and silent. He inhaled deeply, though quietly as to not disturb the eerie peacefulness that surrounded him currently. After ensuring he was actually alone, he took notice of the only tree for acres around him, though it was much closer to a road than he preferred, he, against his better judgment headed directly towards it and plopped down, shading his eyes with a paw, before closing his heavy lids.
He only woke when the entire earth seemed to shake around him, small rocks from the road were shot at him, hitting his back end causing Uzi to jump and land on all fours, a his brows raised and jaws slightly separated, just enough to make him look shocked. From over the hill he several moving glossy figures appeared, though none were recognizable as prey. They shimmered similar to stars, though moved hastily towards him, followed by dust from the roads and a think black smoke from their rears. Uzi's ears pinned down to his head in fear, though his legs refrained him from moving till they were nearly upon him. He darted out in front of the strange creatures, causing unfamiliar animals noises of a large bird and screeching of a dying animal. He tail whipped violently behind him, giving him balance to escape, though it seemed the animal didn't fair to well. Just as Uzi hit the edge of the tallest grasses, the entire earth shook as the animal overturned and was on it's side with several smaller foreign animal shoots coming from it's belly. Uzi didn't pause or look back, this was his first and last encounter with the shiny earthshaking beast. For the first time since being chased from home, Uzi grinned, he had defeated the creature, and now nothing seemed impossible, even happiness.
