Username: Kyugima
Character Name: Tau
Age: Adult
Gender: Female
Species: Lion
Desired Rank: Custos
Appearance:
Personality: Tau is a quiet lion, who can be very untrusting. It takes a lot to get into her good books, and you are always an enemy until you do. She isn't the type to launch a full out attack at first, always warning the other of her intentions. If you don't heed that warning she will fight viciously. But she is fiercly loyal to those she does trust.
History: Tau had previously been the member of a small pride. She had been an eager guardian, watchful and protective. It was simply by accident that she had been exiled. She had been on watch, knowing full well that the cubs that had recently joined them would be in danger if a stranger came along. So it was no surprise when she threatened the new male, and when the male refused to back down, she fought. It didn't end well, the male near death. That was when she learned that the male had been the leaders brother. Unfortuantly, the brother wasn't the forgiving sort, and claimed to have been attacked for no good reason, that he had stated why he was there, when this was all lies. He had almost started the fight himself, swinging at her when she warned him that she would have to take action if he didn't leave or state his business. Unfortuantly, the brothers were close, and the leader could not stand the idea of someone who would attack his brother in the pride, and banished her.

Tau held her body low against the ground, paws treading slowly and softly as her gaze focused on the prey ahead of her. One of the older ones had been injured recently, and would be an easy kill. As she slowly and steadily crept forwards, the heads of the antelope looked up, gaze scanning the grass, ears perked and listening for the padded footstep of a predator. They knew danger could come at any moment, but they had no idea just how close it was. Tau's jaws opened as she allowed the strong scent of the doe's blood washed over her, taking in the copper smell. She was close now, her body poised to leap out. Just a second more, it was heading straight for her, unaware of her presence.
Tau leapt from her cover, fangs bared and claws unsheathed as she bounded towards the limping and slow doe, that despite it's injuries was trying to flee with the rest of the panicking herd. She caught up to the heels of her target, large paws darting out as she leapt onto the creatures back, her added weight dragging down the already struggling beast. with a quick lunge Tau went for the throat, her thick fangs clamping down on the airways, resting as the doe slowly died of lack of oxygen.
