Feral Heart

"Yeah right, you wouldn't do it for a million bucks." Said my friend, Taylor. She crossed her arms triumphantly, pleased by my facial expression.

"Shut up, you wouldn' t go in a haunted house either, you're too much of a wimp." I snarled.

"Ugh, would you guys be quiet, I'm trying to do homework." Said my annoying brother, Jared.

Taylor glared at me, her eyes glinting, daring me to say something. I cupped my elbows in my hands, feeling a strange chill running down my back. I got the strangest feeling that someone was watching me, a dark evil presence. I flipped around in my chair, looking back at my open window.

A small gasp escaped my mouth. Two blood-red eyes were staring back at me, their irises an evil shade of dark crimson. Beside me, my dog, Shadow, let out a deep snarl. The figure let out an ominous chuckle, the deep, booming sound echoing around my room. A crackle of thunder struck the horizon outside my window, illuminating my room. His face startled me, it looked strangely cat-like. With a jolt of terror, i realized what it looked like. The figures face...it looked like...a feralheart cat. The face was cartoon-like, the eyes hypnotizing spirals.

"Death." It whispered in a dead, hoarse voice.

"L-look!" I screeched, my eyes wild with fear.

Taylor and Jared jerked their heads toward the window, surprised by my sudden outburst.
