Commissions, Trades, & Requests / Re: A lion cub profile pic?

Hey there friend ":] I don't mean to be rude, but I think it'd be best if you had your own art & character as a reference rather than someone else's ! Character theft, especially for artists who work very hard to create original and interesting characters, is not something to be taken lightly and has hurt lots of people.

It may look like your OC, but it is not yours. Unless you have explicit proof of the artist agreeing to let you use this piece of artwork, I suggest you take it down.

I am by no means trying to do the staff's job for them, neither am I trying to embarrass & yell at you. I am an artist concerned for another's work.

Game Help / Re: Map help?

Sometimes all you have to do is copy the original file and paste it onto a new grayscale canvas. Then save it under a different name. Like said above, make sure there are no layers in the new file other than the one, and you've merged the "Pasted layer" with the background layer below (since I am assuming you are still using Gimp).

As Whisper said, the heightmap name does not actually have to include the word "Terrain" in it, it just needs to be an image file. That is actually one of the biggest FH map misconceptions!

The moderators try their very hardest to make sure FeralHeart is a safe space for kids. If you have screenshots, send them to a staff member and the user will be taken care of.  They can't be everywhere at once, so if you see someone breaking the rules, always make sure to take a screenshot and send it to a moderator via PM on the site ":].If people are bothering you or making you uncomfortable, always remember that the block feature is available to you.

Site/Forum Help / Re: How do I really enter this community?

I know how you feel.
I've been snooping around on the forums since 2012 myself but never actually made any long-term friends until last year. If you're interested in making yourself known, I suggest posting around the forum wherever possible. People have risen in like a month of forum posting from lonely with no friends to 100 skype contacts. Somehow I am terrible at befriending people and keeping up those relationships though lol so my advice might not be great.

Discussion Board / Re: Questions to all the digital artists ;o;

For paintings I use Krita, but it comes with a pen stabilizer so you are able to ink & do lineart, and won't have those shaky lines.

Most if not all digital artists have a shaky or wobbly hand! I can't do digital lineart without a pen stabilizer or it'll look bad. Thankfully Krita comes with one, and you can always play with the settings to fit it just for you.

I wish you much luck with your art!
