Hiro's ears twitched a little as she watched the rotter pass by, snarling and snapping at another dog's cage and the yowl of a rather rotten sounding cat. She didn't flinch, yet her ears went down immediately. She sat up, using the back of her paw to rub a rather familiar mark around her neck. Where a tight collar had once been, there was a rough and smooth surface of skin. The fur was gently growing back on it. However, due to the collar not having been removed soon enough, her little voice box had been choked out. She whined or growled, but she couldn't speak. Her barks were soft if she had any left. On her left Hind leg was a large scar from a previous fight- or it looked like one scar. A rather nasty retriever had bit into her leg and hadn't let go for a full twenty minutes. By then she had torn his ears up and marked his eye with her teeth, but otherwise it had ended in a draw. Both dogs had been exhausted. Over her maw was the fading mark of a thin cut- made by a wire that had been used to hold it as punishment.
Now she lay in her cage, facing away from the other dogs and curled on her side. She had no idea what had happened to the retriever. In fact, it was actually rare to see a domestic dog like that in the fights... coming back to reality, her white eyes watched the two strangers. She kept her ears back and returned to staring at the back of her cage.
