Feral Heart

I was out for a while and I have to admit, it was hard being gone for so long and it's even harder because none of my friends remember me..... so, I have to start over and hopefully things will go back to normal.

       Blood was splattered everywhere. It lined the walls and even dripped from the roof of the cave. "No!" Meg barked.

       She glanced down and howled. Her father's head lay at her feet! "Oh, God! I'm going to be sick!"

       Eli entered behind her. "Who on earth did this!?" She turned to Eli. "Who?! Do you know!?" She wailed.

       "Do you?!" She demanded.

       "I did it for you and Kyle! I wanted you to be together!" Eli said. "I never meant to hurt you! Or, well, him!" He looked at The Leader.

       He pulled his lip back into a snarl. "Don't tell."

      "What could you possably hope to gain!?"

      Eli narrowed his eyes. "Ha! You don't see do you? I was always his deputy. Second man! I wanted to rule. Start the war.

And now that He's gone, I can do it. But first, I'll have to get rid of you, Megan. You will tell, I'm sure of it. Now come with

me."

      

                 No! Thought Meg. It can't be! Had her father truly done this!? No! "I'm sorry, I must go!" Me pushed out the den.

                 She was halfway to her father's den when she barreled into Eli. "Eli! God, you scared me!" She gasped.

                 "I could say the same, Megan."

                 "Please, Get out of my way!!! I must speak with my father!" Meg shouted.

                 "Meg, listen-"
 
                 "No Eli, I have no time, what so ever!" She snapped.

                 Eli narrowed his eyes, his dark fur barley visible in the night. "Meg, please!"

                 Meg wasted no time. She climbed the rocks and bolted in.  "Megan!!!!" Eli screeched.

                 Nothing could have prepared Meg for the gruesome sight that awaited her on the inside.

"Psst, Meg." Meg perked her ears but didn't open her eyes.
                 
                 She knew exactly who it was. She wasn't prepared to speak with him. Meg felt his cold nose tap the side of her

muzzle, trying to wake her. She let out a warning growl. "Go away, Kyle."

                He flinched away. "I'm so sorry. I know you saw me and Mel- the female. Her name is Akkirian, my sister.

                I'm moving. Well, leaving."

                "Why!?" Asked Meg. "Please, don't go!" She couldn't hide the desperation in her voice.

                "Your alpha. He's attacking us. He did this to me." Kyle turned and revealed his entire rear end full of scars

and gashes.

                Meg gasped. The war has already begun.
